Basically every single Monday at my job I've been in conversation with my coworkers and have had them stop me completely because they have no clue what the word I am using means... I can't tell if I'm just too chronically online or if this is genuinely not common sense please tell me if you know what these mean

the following, which my 21 y/o coworker did not get :

' niche '

the following, which the same 21 y/o coworker and my 45 y/o coworker did not get :

' canon '

and, lastly, a saying because my 20 y/o coworker looked at me like I grew 2 heads :

' have a cow '
