I've been wanting to get into lo-fi music lately since I've been struggling like crazy with insomnia and anxiety for the last two weeks, and I heard lo-fi music is something that can help you unwind and can also help with concentration issues (which I've always had).

I recently started listening to some of it and I surprisingly like it. I've also discovered that Bring Me The Horizon released an album last year with lo-fi versions of their songs, so I started listening to my favorite songs off of it and I really enjoy them :maheart:

Do you like lo-fi music? Are there any artists that you like and would recommend?

I'm a bit cautious with lo-fi music as it is full of ai music which I try to avoid, (especially on Spotify as every time you stream ai on Spotify you take away from the amount of money a real artist gets because it is a shared pot).

lo-fi music has its roots in piano trio jazz (piano, double bass, drums) and downtempo hip-hop (chillhop, trip-hop etc), it also owes a lot to Japanese DJ Nujabes, so that's what I like to listen to instead:

Nujabes - reflection eternal (godfather of lo-fi)

Bill Evans Trio - My Foolish Heart (Jazz)

DJ Krush - Song 2 (Trip-hop - a bit darker and edgier than lo-fi, but shares similarities too. Like Nujabes, DJ Krush is a famous Japanese hip-hop DJ.)
