I’m talking movies like the original alien or planet of the apes films. I like watching them because they’re classics but I’m glad movies have evolved.

sure, i mean my favourite movie was made in 1985 so it could be considered older by some as well. it's only movies from 1930s-1940s that i don't really watch because there is something about them that scares me

I love watching old Hollywood movies, they have a charm that you sometimes don't get in newer films. And yes I've also seen Citizen Kane and Casablanca, but not Gone with the Wind lol.

My favorites are Vertigo, The Maltese Falcon, Lawrence of Arabia, anything by Hitchcock really, 12 Angry Men, City Lights, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, the Sergio Leone spaghetti westerns with Clint Eastwood, The Manchurian Candidate and several others. But I can see they're not for everyone lol, I've just always been into cinema in general, recently we have a lot of TV series and web series available for streaming but the big movie experience is still something special.

Yeah, some are pretty good. One of my favorite old movies is the 1930s silent movie Nosferatu

Yes, I watched a lot of them as a child. I enjoy the practical effects in particular. Stuff like the chariot race in Ben-Hur for example is epic.

One of my favorites too, it's so satisfying because stunts back then used to be done completely with practical effects and stuntmen, so everything looks a lot more real than CG stuff today.
That's why Mad Max Fury Road a few years back was so good or the Mission Impossible movies because they are all practical stunts, always looks better than special effects.

Yes, a lot of them are 10 times better than new movies. Breakfast At Tiffany's would be an example.
