Especially you @Ravenclaw I know you bird people love puppies.

What is a puppy?

They are cute, adorable, sometimes fluffy, sometimes chunky, cuddly babies of the paw species, dogs.

Now that you know what a puppy is, onto some fun facts.

Sometimes their paws smell like Frito Lays. It's weird. I thought it was because they might have stepped in pee, but my pup's paws smell like that even after I wash them.
I learned this happens because of bacteria called Pseudomonas and Proteus. The smell of corn chip paws is nothing to worry about. You should be concerned if the Frito Lays smell turns to a moldy cheese smell and they start licking their paws more. These will match signs of an infection so go see a vet.

Chocolate isn't the only dangerous food.
The amount of research I did when Bub came into my life >.> I yelled at everyone not to give him things he shouldn't eat. Most being unhealthy stuff but you never know what can be instantly dangerous. Grapes and Raisins is up there. Ingesting one could be as fatal as kidney failure. My son got his paws on a bowl of raisins at my grandmas and I instantly took him to the vet where he puked before we even stepped into the building. This was years ago.
Grapes in any form + dog = DANGER!!!

Clothes and shoes are sometimes necessary.
shoo judgmental folks who don't have paw children.
Going back to Frito Lays feet, their paws protect them, but they are also sensitive. When it gets cold and people put salt out to prevent the roads and sidewalk from icing over, it's important to clean your dogs feets or you can protect them with shoes. Same goes if you take them hiking, sometimes the terrain can be too rough on their paw pads. The ground could be too cold or too hot. This is where shoes come in handy. Plus, they can stop your dog from messing with them if they're recovering from an injury.
Same goes with clothes, if it's too cold, it's harder on pups with short fur.

If your pup is used to and loves clothes from the beginning, all the more reason to make your wallet bleed :)
Mine doesn't mind clothing, but he hates shoes. x.x Winter is a struggle.

I don't want a puppy I want a geriatric dog I can love until it passes away knowing that it was loved-at least in its last years of life.
I love puppies though-the only reason I would own one is to train them properly and work with them one on one in that sense. But I do have a preference for older dogs.

Even at the adorable puppy age of 72, they will still be a puppy.
We need more people like you though. Breaks my heart when older ones are left at shelters because people are irresponsible shitheads.

I'm hoping since I'll be in the vet field it'll be easier for me to take care of them in the long run. But only time will tell. My boyfriend also obviously gets a say too. I think he is more partial to younger pups.

But they are a big responsibility.

I always wanted a dog, but the apartment complex doesn't allow pets. But then again, my mom and I did monthly dog-sitting for a rich person, during which my mom and her friends cleans the mansion. Though we had been really secretive about it (none of the higher-ups didn't know about the dog).
