i really appreciate when someone wants to gift me something regardless of the price, but i get "wish the ground would open up and swallow me whole" uncomfortable when it's something expensive. pls just buy me a pair of socks instead ;-;

right,, i've received a lot of expensive fragrances over the years, from family and family friends, but i don't wear perfumes so it's such a waste.. i feel really bad accepting gifts like that but i don't want to be rude or hurt them either

God I hate fragrances But yeah the question of is it better to reject an expensive gift you don’t like or will that hurt them feelings wise it’s rough

I also feel the same, also i am not into anything expensive. I dont like shoes, jewelry or bags. If they buy me an album or a concert ticket yeah, but other than that i would like them to think about what i like. Like the last time my family got me a 1000 piece puzzle, that maybe was 10 dollars, and i was so happy about it cause i love puzzles

Yeah exactly! I’m the same way, my mom got me this rainbow stuffed gnome for Christmas and I doubt it was any more than 10$. Someone doesn’t need to take out a loan to buy a gift for me (obvs exaggerating but you get what I mean)

like, i tend to dislike receiving clothes (asides from small things like socks) bc 90% of the time, i will never wear it. Usually people who give me stuff like that don’t kniw my interests or what i like to wear….
