contemporary music or the music from past generations more?

I personally think it‘s a mix for me. Like I love Queen, Nirvana etc. but the next second I am super into Miley, Ariana, Billie. I think my taste is a mixed bag.​

Ig it depends on my mood, i feel more affinity to old stuff but i hv constant wanting of new stuff too. Maybe a switcheroo, a bit of old stuff when the new stuff just doesnt do it for me. So both.
Edit: new stuff doesnt inclyde western music btw, just has to be new to me which in this case is now kpop.

past generations all the way the only thing i dislike about being a huge enthusiast of older music is that it's more likely for me to see my favourite artists die than it is for me to see them release something

It depends. For english/american pop, definitely past generations. For kpop, it's a mix cause some of the older music was a bit cringey as well. Iconic for sure, but still cringey.
