I’m starting a new audiobook tonight. It’s called The Thirty-Nine Steps by John Buchan. The main character just returned from South Africa back to London. He agreed to shelter an American stranger who he later finds dead in his apartment. He borrows the milkman’s uniform and uses it to flee the building and no be caught by yhe London police who suspect him. He tries to decode the strangers notebook in a race against time, and proving his innocence.​
