Do you listen to Christmas songs when it´s Christmas? (1 Viewer)

I don´t. the only Christmas song I like is "All I want for Christmas..." due to many years of obsessive watching of Love Actually.

i listen to last christmas a lot because i'm a huge fan of george michael but other than that i don't unless they're played in public. and literally every store around me seems to love merry christmas everyone by shakin' stevens more than i love myself

Last Christmas is so great! I remember how Manic Street Preachers did a cover and I also listened to it quite a lot.

Jesus, exactly!!! I was so obsessed with them when I was 13-16! I was really into that webpage that was back in 2006 bad-Internet. My family didn´t have the Internet back then and I had to go to the library, constantly scrolling the web for every single news!! They had this "reading list" of Richey´s favourite books and I read most of them :D. I also befriended a girl on the Internet who sent me almost their whole discography because I was so annoying since birth :D.

My family didn´t have the Internet back then and I had to go to the library, constantly scrolling the web for every single news!! that´s a miracle to find a fan of the golden era of britpop indeed. I remember reading of his death proclamation some years back and I did cry a little. I so wished to believe he lived happily somewhere on an island, hidden from everyone with a wife and kids and a drink in his hand and ridiculous shirt covering his beautiful tattoos.

aaaahhh, I wished the same. I just hoped the escaped to some faraway farm, with five dogs and a peaceful chance to heal himself from all his problems. I really hope it gets solved someday, but being realistic, it probably will not... but we can hope !

the only thing i know about this band is the fact that one of their videos used to scare me a lot when i was a kid and accidentally saw it on tv so i've been more or less avoiding them ever since lol but i'll check their cover out!

I mean we probably all know what happened and I just prefer to believe that whatever the belief, whatever the case, he is happy and at peace. it was his life and his decision. he was a broken soul, a really intelligent guy that had inspired a lot of people including me to do better. I was that emo kid thanks to him :D, reading 1984 and hating the world, being more educated than my peers and the yadada.
it sounds cheesy but I am pretty sure he had shaped my teenagerhood quite a lot. not all my decision were good and he did not inspire the best in me, but hey things you do when you hate yourself pfff.
still manic street preachers and placebo were the groups that have played the biggest roles in my music taste and cultural upbringing.

you are quite young so I can´t imagine which one was that. I really loved their old early 90s, late 80s work but yeah the cover was done by James Dean Bradfield
