Watched this video recently, at the end they talk about the variety shows. While i do agree i would love for some more interaction between idols, i kinda have a bad taste about old variety shows. They used a lot of slapstick comedy, it also involving slapping idols as a joke... which wasn't pretty funny imo...

I feel like it was all in jest I mean I don't think the idols themselves had any issues with it since it's a variety show and they are suppose to play along - back and forth...

btw that clip of them slapping jeongyeon for example was in jest - the twice members even after said "slap" invited them to their concert so...

Yes ofc, but most of these slaps were punishments for not being able to do an activity, and idk how much can rookies say no when they are asked to be slapped for a game xD

Yes but i still don't enjoy it. That's what i don't like about it. That ppl getting slapped is funny. Also including the hosts. They were kicked and slapped and so on

i really miss old variety honestly. i love new shows too, but shows like x-man, ya shim man man, strong heart, etc. will always have a special place in my heart as my introduction to variety.

oh yeah, there was strong heart league mid last year which was... okay, then they made strong heart vs in december which is pretty different but seems pretty nice so far.
