BLACKPINK is overrated?
I mean that what I keep hearing from many people saying
that BLACKPINK is overrated, so in you're own opinion do you think BLACKPINK is overrated.
As a blink I'm curious and I won't take any offence.​

They may not be the most perfect group, but they've worked as hard as anyone else. In all reality, everyone that trains deserves so much, as they've all worked really hard. Unfortunately, that's not how it works though.

where as other kpop groups have to continously release albums . every few months to keep their fans and gain new ones

Doesn't every group have more fans than they have songs? I'd hope a song wouldn't produce over a million songs in a span of 2 years, and that's for smaller groups.

As a Blink I’ll admit that they can be a bit overhyped at times. However, I still think they’re hardworking individuals and they definitely have talent. I just wish their company would show more of their talents.

Honestly, no

Everyone wants to be like "Blinks think Rose is top-tier vocalist etc" but the only place I see that is on Twitter. EVERY group has Stans on that Twitter their faves are the only definition of talent.

I think Blackpink are talented, hard-working and dedicated and deserve every iota of success that they have. They're lovely girls and I can only hope that they get bigger and that their management gets better

Personally, I don't think they are overrated they have good songs (I just dislike one of their title tracks), and not to be too much but they are the only yg group that I truly liked (I used to listen BB a little but was never much of a fan), I think the main problem and the reason why people may say they are "overrated" is because they have only a few songs and sometimes some stuff said about them, of course, in my opinion is kinda "overhyped" you know what I mean?
But in general I don't think they are overrated at all, I love their songs, also Rosé and Lisa are GREAT I think they are very cool and pretty

In general, yeah, but then any big 3 group will be overrated.

Yes and no. I think they’re talented, have good music, personalities, are hardworking and deserve their success. But, I do think that while their success and popularity is well deserved, they definitely had advantages over other groups in getting there. Let’s be real; simply because of the fact that they debuted from one of the 3 major entertainment companies, they were guaranteed attention from even before their debut. Nowadays they’ve proved themselves; fans like them because they’re Blackpink and not solely because they’re from YG, however, I dont think that this makes them any better than any other Kpop group.

So yes, they are overrated, because there are many other good groups which don’t get nearly as much attention as BP, but they also don’t deserve anywhere near the amount of criticism that they get and they’re an overall valid group.

It‘s not like they are a bad group. I love the girls but let‘s face it everyone. The popularity really is insane

In my opinion, Blackpink's music quality and talents don't match the hype they're getting. I find their music to be overrated (even though they could be given way better and way more music, it's not like they are lacking in funds since they are hugely successful). Jennie and Lisa are also rather overrated in the rap department as I've seen them genuinely hailed as phenomenal rappers.

I feel like most popular Kpop groups are overhyped by their fans to some extent.
