both the disaster of a movie and the just as awful book it was based on could be the textbook definition of promoting toxic relationships. there was some discussion about it here but with no actual result and it still got like 15 screenings a day in theaters here. and the award-winning 1917 which came out at the same time here was only played 3 times

Yes for sure and it sickening. I was in a toxic relationship with a narcissistic person and I can tell you, there is nothing romantic or remotely good about it.
