Do you think there’s such thing as being a “flop fan”? (1 Viewer)

I know a lot of us joke about being “flop fans” but do you think there’s such thing? For me I don’t think so, as long as you are a fan of the group in the sense that you like their music or personalities or whatever you like about them, that you’re a real fan. Sometimes it’s also more complicated than just liking a group too. For example, for me some people might think I don’t really like SuperM or Itzy or NCT or whoever because I can’t recognize the members all the time, when I’m reality it’s just my face blindness (if I can recognize family sometimes I’ll definitely struggle with kpop groups because I see them less often and don’t know them as well ).

So anyways, what do you guys think? In all seriousness do you think there’s such thing as flop fans or no?

Some kpop fans became that rock band fans that consider that if you can't name all songs and albums in order you're a poser

Nope, that is a silly term. Imagine caring if someone is a "real" fan or not, it's not that deep...
Casual fans are also a thing. I don't check out all the content that LOONA releases, but I really like the members, for example...

The only thing I could really think of to consider a flop fan is the ones that don't really keep up with who they're a fan of at all like if you're a fan of a groups music but haven't listened to their bsides at all.

Since even as a casual fan of a group you should have a decent level of interest where you've checked out an album here and there which is a reasonably low bar if you were to make one.

i don't think you can really call yourself a fan of a musician if you don't listen to their music but apart from that i don't understand how you could "flop" as a fan??
