Those are the followers of pagan religions who practice the rituals of their religion; e.g. witchcraft. The "real witches" that op mentions are fictional characters, and are not real. The fictional witchcraft that's mentioned here is not real either.

I do believe in healers though. That they can help and harm according to their wishes. I am not saying, condemn modern medicine, but let those who are gifted help you. I also believe that some people can transfer good energy to others.

Yeah, real witches had always been those so called "wannabes" throughout the centuries. They were the healers, the ones villages believed helped bring rain for their crops, etc. Voodoo is a good example of such. Whether modern people see them as a sham or not these days is irrelevant, those were the real witches.

The cartoony stuff you see commercialized in books, movies, etc. with the flashy spells is an invention and were always the "wannabes" lol. But no, these are not real.
