Do you think yelly vocals are always bad? (1 Viewer)

I hear a lot of times people would say “x person is a bad vocalist, they’re just yelling”. But for me, I adore Kihyuns voice, but think his singing is yelly also. But to me that’s not an issue, he sounds great imo, yelly or not. Anyone else have opinions about this?

I think it really just depends on how the person does it, sometimes it can feel like they’re really straining their voice in some cases. Kihyun is one of my favorite vocalists though.
