Does anyone else find this phrase dumb? Let’s say there’s a statistic that 10% of people who drive get injured (made up completely). Some places/posters/ect will tell you not to be a statistic. But if you fall into the 90% who don’t get injured you’re just as much of a statistic as someone who does

I find that statement pointless too because everyone's a statistic in something x.x
it depends on the topic but even if it's a specific topic it's not like someone is going to think oh I don't want to be a statistic
