I belong to a religion more broadly known as paganism. But I'm not Wiccan or a Druid like most people would assume, but rather a Heathen. Most people think the word heathen is bad but don't worry that's just another side effect of the
"non-Christians r bad" propaganda everyone's been fed for some reason. But to put it simply as a Heathen I believe in the pantheon which includes the gods Odin, Loki, Freyja, and Thor. I also belong to half of another religion but that's not the focus now. I've had a hard time telling people about my religion because before I thought it was as simple as telling someone you're Christian or Hindu but I soon realized that no matter how hard people preach to love they always have exceptions.
One of the many things I've been told is that I'm a witch. And while I get they mean that insultingly, fuck yeah I'm a witch. But that doesn't make me less of a person or evil and scary. I just do rituals to protect my energy now and then just as you pray to whoever you pray to.
I've also been told I can't celebrate holidays like Christmas because I'm not Christian, but that's just plain silly bc Christmas was created by pagans originally and is especially celebrated by people under the Heathenism umbrella like myself because of the Midgard and such. Yule is coming soon (the original version of what we call Christmas now) and I'm going to celebrate it because I always have.
I also get people saying I'll burn in hell when I don't even believe in hell. Like idk ab you but that doesn't sound very love thy neighbor or whatever. And I don't care if you think I'm blasphemous because I'm not, you're just immature

I'm so sorry to hear that people have been bullying you over your religion. That must be terrible. You're perfectly within your right to believe what you want to believe and celebrate the holidays you choose to celebrate. Other people shouldn't get to control that, or even have a say in it. I don't think those people should be telling you to burn in hell, and I don't think you're being blasphemous, especially given the circumstances.

Also, for what it's worth, one of my friends in real life is a witch too. I don't believe in it, but I respect his belief and even tag along when he goes to buy supplies for stuff to burn. He respects my religion and I respect his. I sincerely hope that one day you find friends like that, because they're awesome.
