I am kinda meh on it.
It was improvement from Deja Vu but still not at their best.
maybe this song will grow on me? unlike Piri which I outgrew

I think you have outgrown Dreamcatcher as well tbh. I don't think they will be going back to their old roots anytime soon at least and What was the last MV that you actually really enjoyed from them.
I hope I'm wrong but I think that even if a song is really good, you'd like it from another group but not from Dreamcatcher because you're expecting more of a harder rock sound from them. Am I right?

that was so good and powerful omg!! I personally much prefer emotional music than this, but it's still objectively an eye catching and powerful comeback :)

Yes, I understand, I think anyone before 'What' can really appreciate what they did and although we can appreciate what they do now, it's not really the same when it is more catered towards the general public, I think they want to be more popular now, but that's what a first win will do to you.
However, I do really enjoy the song, although a lot is going on in the MV lol so I can't understand it yet.
Like you said, it is better than Deja Vu and I think if someone like Everglow or Loona had the MV, it would literally blow up and it would suit them.

that‘s true. they have been trying to cater towards a different audience now which is why especially older fans will feel some type of way.
I still will give them a chance and I am sure the album as a whole will have songs I will enjoy way more.

That happens with all groups tho, their sound matures/changes with the times. It's happening with GFriend and Twice rn. Apink did it starting with I'm So Sick. SNSD did it back in the day. I'm not including groups like Red Velvet who aren't associated with any particular sound.
But yeah they had rock roots, but they're still a Kpop group so it's natural they'll gradually broaden their range

my favorite title from then would be Fly High or You & I . I also adore their debut so much.

Overall, I really love this. The song wasn't as out there as I feared. The teasers ended up being the craziest parts of the song. Every section of the song fit really well together in my opinion. It was really solidly produced. As far as first listens go, this was my top song of 2020 so far.

The chorus sounded pretty halloween-y at times, which I'm not a fan of. I don't like any halloween songs much but they somehow made it work and I still enjoyed those parts. If I liked that type of sound more, this would no doubt SOTY material for me.

Visually, it was really cool. They're serving looks as always, but it's hard to compete with Dejavu. That was really a beautiful concept. I hope we can see Handong in this soon as well sometime.

The DoP and the VFX crew need a raise like... what in the heck. That was sublime TT The song was great too, though I think it was the rap parts that really stood out to me. The video elevated all of it for me too. Also, I can easily hear the chorus with electric guitars and a drum-kit. In fact I think it would have been one of their most metal choruses yet. The potential for crazy riffs is high. But for what they wanted, I think they succeeded.

Yeah the chorus is not the type I would typically like, but they made it work really well for me. I was really into it by the end. Visually their MVs have been amazing recently
