We all know that most of the world drives on the right side of the road, while not many drive on the left. Oftentimes, places that drive on the left have the steering wheel on the other side. However, in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the people drive on the left side of the road, but their steering wheel is also on the left. This is because while the islands were under Danish rule (prior to the U.S. acquiring them), they had self governance and adopted the local habits of driving on the left. Nowadays, this custom remains, but most of the cars on the islands are from the U.S. and as such have the steering wheel on the left too.
