what is insensitive about being realistic about a situation where neither you nor I have any semblance of control over
EU is a grown woman who's been in the business and knows a lot more about the ways of kpop than you or I
if she wants to or has the power to she can report it to yuehua

neither you nor I know whether's she's reported it to yuehua
neither you nor I know whether yuehua is doing something about it or not

but both you and I do know that regardless of whether yuehua or EU does something about it or not EU is still left with a choice of how SHE reacts to these things since those antis and haters aren't suddenly going to stop

kpop idols have been getting hate since the days of seo taiji and boys and with the advent of social media it's only gotten worse

which brings me back to my ultimate question of what is she (EU) going to do about it?

should she have to face all the hatred and negativity - abso-fucking-luty not!!! but the question is not should she not face it but what she can do about it without feeling like shit all the time or getting mental health issues

I have stanned Everglow since Adios era(stanning might mean different things to different kpoppers, to me it's interest in and supportive of a kpop act beyond casual, frex I stan Everglow but not ITZY, TWICE or NMIXX even tho latter 3 are more known/popular/feed their stans content far more than EG; but my emotional investment is towards EG, aespa, IVE n those in my sig. I cant/won't explain further).

As such iv noticed tat Sihyeon, n more recently Jiwon(E:U's name) appeared more visually appealing to atteact more fans(I presume). E:U also stepped down as leader(for reasons I don't claim to understand/fully believe whatever explanation given by YH). So even these steps taken by SH/E:U aren't enuf for toxic stans to leave E:U be in Everglow. So i don't think just getting a thick skin is a long term process that is viable/leads to progress of any sort. Just getting to this point requires thick skin surviving training/debuting process(if more trainers at YH than spots for debut gg). Pls hv more empathy for young idols [ETA]/ppl in public life who we hv been entertained(or who we been privileged to hv been given joy) by[end edit].

what does anything I say mean that I don't have sympathy for the idols who are going through this?
having sympathy without action is like saying "thoughts and prayers" after a mass shooting
it doesn't stop the hatred from happening

my argument is that she and literally every kpop idol needs to know (preferably pre-debut with training and therapy and education) that they are going to get some sort of hate/antis and that they need to find a way to manage it/ deal with it

and like I said each one of us can report it to yuehua or IG or X or YT or whatever platform it is happening
but we can't control whether YH will do anything about it or maybe they are doing something about it behind the scenes and we don't know

now from my perspective as a general kpop fan I'm putting myself into EU's shoes
how do I as EU deal with that shit and beyond report it - the only recourse I have is I need to ignore the messages/try not to let them bother me so much aka toughen up

you mentioned you've been a fan of EG for a while now and the same toxic shit is still happening (from their debut to now) so again I pose my question to you - what does EU do about it not what as a fan you want to happen since I think ideally we would all like the hatred and antis to stop but be realistic that ain't happening anytime soon for EU, EG or any other idol
