Refeeding syndrome is something I've found interesting as well as scary in doing research. It's a condition that happens after a person who has been starved for any reason begins eating again and a negative reaction is triggered in the body before a positive one. This is usually due to too much food being consumed to overcompensate in a short amount of time post the starvation. Usually foods high in carbohydrates cause this like milk or baked goods and can trigger headaches nausea or fatality if severe enough. It can also cause diabetes in some due to the sudden insulin raise. Im sharing this just in case anyone doesnt already know tl make sure they don't hurt themselves more
I also read to avoid things too high in electrolytes for similar reasons as the carbohydrates and to go in with lighter stuff like soup
