After everything I have now seen, from the backstage insult, to the guy punching Chaeyeon, to other abuses, I honestly believe that they specifically targeted Chaeyeon and there is probably much more that they did to her.
I mean, why would they just say those vile words to her, hit and verbally abuse her if she wasn't a target?
Whether it's if she's an easy target or just a target that they chose, I dunno, but if I were to guess, she's also not the only specific target and have had other certain targets in the past.
I hope they are thoroughly investigated.

They probably did target her because her group isn't big at all so they might have thought they wouldn't have anything to worry about as there would be no one to make a big enough noise over it.

It also wouldn't surprise me if EBS even knew about the abuses that was going on because like you said, Busters is a very small group.
Yes, they have apologized and suspended them but it was probably because the incident went viral, so they had to do something but I think we'll know sooner or later anyway.
I can't imagine how Chaeyeon's parents must be feeling, they have to be worried for their daughter.

True. What happened with Jinsol from April and the bottled water prank also tells me that there is a lot more than actually meets the eye and means they have done it many times.

Even if it was a joke it was to far. Your know vixx, look how they playfully beat each other. They don't take full might. Same with other groups that play around 'violently'. If you're jokign or playing you don't put your might into it. You either pull your punches or miss if you are joking around. She's a young woman not a punching game.

Well at first i thought it might been acting, but it doesn't look like that and Chaeyeon seemed to get hurt so not ok even as act or playful punch. It's even worse that it didn't seem like badly thought act or playful hit though, with the clip of other guy insulting her it seems like there really was malice against her.
