Well, Okay.
I was interested on Empire the first time I listened to them; but they changed to girl crush. Groups doing that generally have the same flaws that boy groups have, the music doesn't satisfy me and oftentimes I hate it. So I lost any interest on Empire.

i hate this news... i've been following them since day one so this is really painful

the only reason why i could "accept" BiSH's disbanding was because that was at least going to open more doors to EMPiRE and the other WACK groups

it's so sudden, just today / yesterday they literally were talking about their next tour, the only indication that something was going on was that they didn't updated their fanclub this saturday, they were doing pretty well so it wasn't a financial decision, i have no idea what the hell is Watanabe thinking

thanks! it only makes me sad because they gave me so many good memories, these past years were really fun thanks to them

after BiSH they were the 2nd J-pop group that i became interested in... today i was checking some of their first tweets and it makes me nostalgic, seeing this picture i recall how i just knew i was going to be their fan until the end

this is the part that i hate about being a fan, you know this is going to happen eventually but don't want to think about it, but even then it just makes me want to appreciate the other acts i follow even more

I know it'll eventually happen. I just hope it'll not happen soon. Lineup changes are also painful to me. One important change happened last year. It took me months to adjust.

sorry for the late reply, today i've been getting distracted by EMPiRE

would you mind me telling which group?

and i can relate to the pain of losing acts / people you admire, while BiSH and EMPiRE's disbandings hurt the one that was soul crushing to me was the one of the 2nd gen of BiS, that was back in early 2019, WACK was way smaller at the time and they were only around for 1 year but still

i don't think i ever liked a group so much as them, it was just something special, when all of them quit the group at the same time (some sort of protest against Watanabe) i legitimately got sick for like a month, sounds weirds but it's truth

a lot of people in the fandom were literally depressed, that definitely was a before and after for WACK and their fans, even Watanabe sort of mellowed as result of the aftermath

related / unrelated to the thread, WACK and the music label JMS just announced an emergency live, tomorrow Watanabe and Suzuki Kentaro who are the ceos are going to do this event together, is going to be streamed on BiSH's YouTube channel, SPACE SHOWER TV, the JMS YouTube channel and GYAO!

another WACK group ASP appears listed on the labels artist page

BiSH and EMPiRE are groups under the label "avex", last week ASP announced their debut too under avex but they appear listed on JMS

I have not passed for the experience of a group I love to disband. I know I will and I already dread the moment.

would you mind me telling which group?
My top favourite group PassCode. In August 4, my absolute favorite screamer announced she'd retire. I was having hard times of breathing, and nightmares. Seeing PassCode with someone that's not Yuna felt so strange, so weird.

Yuna? i recall you did make a thread about it, they are your favorite group right?

it sucks when stuff like that happens, hopefully they stay around for years to come!

Yes, my top favourite. They have talked like they plan to keep going for years. I'm not sure really. The oldest is already 27. It'd be cool if they could still keep going well in their 30s; but I'm not holding my breath.

SCANDAL are my top group, Rina who is the youngest member just turned 30th last year and they are going to hold their 16th anniversary in August of this year, they stated that one of their goals is to become the longest running girl band ever, i believe in them and i know they can do it

PassCode debuted around 2012 / 2013 right? the average group only stays together for 3 / 4 years, but that's basically 10 years already! very few groups get there and at that point you are more like family than anything else, that means the members understand and work well with each other, they definitely can keep going so you should trust on them!

They originally debuted on February 2013. Three of the original members left during that year. Nao entered on July of that year. On February next year Yuna and Kaede joined and they redebuted with the sound they have till today. I would call them one of the most stable idol groups in the industry.

But returning to Wack and its groups; I think I read around that ASP is having a major debut. When that happened with PassCode was when they signed with Universal Music. If that so, and I'm not imagining things, ASP seems a solid group, not likely to disband anytime soon. Do you like ASP? Or do them not really count?

other than Yuna leaving last year and Emily joining after her, they haven't had any other change in line up since 2015 right? that's legitimatelly surprising

ASP's 1st anniversary was last month! they are still pretty new although with recent news is becoming clear that no one is truly safe in WACK

Watanabe literally can kill any group for any reason, for example he hated the second gen of BiS and even had some sort of campaign against them, he refused to put their music online, forced the members to sign up for 100km marathons, called the managers and staff to vote in secret for their least favorite members and then he called the members to tell them that the staff didn't liked them

that despite that at the time their latest single "Are you ready?" sold over 100,000 copies and the group wasn't even a year old of when that happened, he literally killed a group that had the potential to take on BiSH, i'm not lying when i say that his decision cost the company hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars

Do you like ASP? Or do them not really count?
i like all the WACK groups but i like some more than the others, if i put them on tiers it would be something like this

tier 1: BiSH / EMPiRE
tier 2: BiS second gen
tier 2: MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN
tier 3: BiS third gen, PARADISES
tier 4: GANG PARADE, ASP, CARRY LOOSE
tier 5: BiS first gen, GO TO THE BEDS

not counting sub units or solos

Right.
Hinako joined on 2015, and they had not changed until last year; and it was because Yuna developed a panic disorder. She lasted for long even though it was so because Nao is extremely supportive. You can see it on this picture.

So you see how Nao has her arm around Yuna's shoulders? She's the leader, a great leader. And here can also be seen that everyone counts, not just the girls, the band members also count. I think Nao is the most important reason why PassCode has kept together for so long.

Watanabe literally can kill any group for any reason
It looks like Watanabe is a fool.
