someone said it. if any idol is given a "female empowerment" angle, its (usually) all performative. be it 2ne1, black pink, whoever. they may not actually believe that (internalised misogyny for you), or their lyrics may not reflect that (cause they're written... by men... or even if it's a woman who isn't in the group, she's just doing it for the $$$, not for feminism). i don't necessarily think blackpink are bad, but it's good to realise that its performative - like pretty much everything else in kpop
