HOMESHAKE is Peter Sagar, a singer/songwriter based in Montréal, specialising in the best of Lo-Fi Pop. You may know him from such bands Sans Aids, Outdoor Miners, and from playing guitar in Mac Demarco's band. THE HOMESHAKE TAPE is a collection of 9 sublimely soulful songs, written by Peter. Featuring some of the most chilled out, catchy guitar pop you'll hear all year, this LP is perfect for those days of relaxation. Hazy guitars, subtle drums, quirky sound bites and sleepy, delicate vocals all come together perfectly on the tape, making the perfect "lazy day" listen.
We start with a song called Haters, it is a chill pop-rock song that sounds pretty nice honestly :)
then we have I am too young, it seemed to be less light than the first one, actually I really like the atmosphere of the track. That song is too short tho!
Northern man is honestly the best song of the EP so far, I can't say it is the kind of sounds I usually die for but still an enjoyable one!
Brothers is the song I was familiar with before to actually listen to the whole mixtape, so it is naturally a one I enjoy.
Sally is a song where the guitar is mixing pretty well with other instruments, seems like there is more than a genre here.
Gettin' Down was starting with a really noisy gun sound, I didn't expect that!
The four remaining songs are as chill as others I have listed. Whoever likes chill songs to listen for a relaxing day, you know what to try!
All songs are amazing for a lazy day, however I don't know if I would listen really often to it :/
