yes, all through middle and high school. they would call my favs gay (well, for BSB and N Sync, turns out they're 2/10 right - Lance from 'N Sync and now AJ from BSB... but that's besides the point), fool me with "sightings" of my favs (them: "look, it's Nick Carter!" / me: "Where?!" / them: *laughs in my face*), tell me they died, etc. and I looked up my high school a while back, and they now have a bullying counselor. well, that's all fine and dandy, but srsly, they couldn't hire one when I was still a student???

I never was cuz I only share fandoms online but someone did ask what kind of layout I had (which was of anime bl at the time) so perhaps that counts?

Actually by Western pop girl fandoms. Like monsters etc. like they bully me for liking BTS and stray kids. They are really toxic tbh 😭💔

Back in high school was bullied and not because of my favourite band evermore back in the days but they would bully me telling me they died and it messed me up a lot bc I was only a 12 year old autistic girl and the entire grade would be on with it

I don't want to diminish the problems of anyone who has suffered genuine bullying but in my experience most (not all) bullying depends on how you receive it, what I mean is there's a fine line between teasing and actual bullying. I find that getting defensive or feeling embarassed will turn a situation into bullying that could have resulted in (often friendly) teasing if you're open and unashamed.

I'm an almost 37 year old man who's hobby is K-Pop, of course I will be laughed at and called gay on occasion and if I get defensive about it we are gonna have a problem but I don't. I tell people up front and if they say something negative about it I respond with something along the lines of "Oh well, to each their own" and I usually never hear about it again and if I do it's out of genuine curiousity about why I picked up such an uncharacteristic hobby.

I genuinely believe that if you have pride in yourself other people will find a lot less to pick at, so banish your insecurities and embrace being different - It's the spice of life after all. Just to reiterate; I know there are some heinous cases of uncontrollable bullying out there and that's not necessarily what I'm referring to. Just suggesting to take a bit of teasing in good stride even if it isn't that funny.
