Ever want to quickly change where West Virginia is? (2 Viewers)

[Ahsoka]

Just take out the first letter. Then you get Est Virginia. Know what Est means in French? It means East. You went from West to East with only one letter change

[HelloGoodbyeDie]

I never knew this
but not being american, I can see why

And Est (well techincally EST) is an abbreviation which means Eastern Standard Time, which is the timezone West Virgina uses

[Nina]

My thought is do we really need 2 Virginias?

And that is how I feel about why we have 2 Carolinas and 2 Dakotas on the map as well

True! That’s also funny Not right today since the clocks haven’t switched yet. But when they do it’ll be EST

It really is absurd. Why 2? Why not 3? Im a proponent of the seecession of northwest West Virginia from West Virginia

But the actual reason for why there’re two is that when Virginia seceded from the US in the Civil War, West Virginia refused to and fought for the North. And after the war was over, it was enough for West Virginia to be given statehood, I they jawd some kind of argument about Virginia failing its constitutional rights or something like that

hahaha well, you're not wrong with the last initial, but our last name only has five letters... and no, you're not allowed to guess
