Apparently a fan saw in a behind video D.O. puffing out a cloud of smoke and told authorities. He was fined, but it's like a small amount , 75$ approx.

The comments are a bit weird imo. They basically are saying that breaking the law is okay and should be ignored and that anyone who reports an infraction is someone who needs to get a life and is overall a sucky person. In this case you can't really even try to argue that he was innocent and they're still acting like any punishment for it is ridiculous and unworthy.

yeah i found the comments weird too, i know it's a vape, and they don't wanna show ppl that they smoke. But i bet there are other places to do that...

Surprisingly I can name 3 main vocals off the top of my head (including DO) who have shown evidence on social media accidentally that they smoke something. All 3 have wonderful voices to this day though luckily, but at some point it might catch up.

i mean yeah, but it can cause other defects too. Shortness of breath, fatigue of the lungs. My boss is a smoker and he questions why his chest hurts randomly when his heart doctor said he is fine, i shouldve asked if he checked out his lungs?

i know onew and taemin smoked too, idk if onew is still seeing how he had nodules and had operation on it.

It can. But the one that would be most noticeable to us would probably be a raspy voice. They could very easily also be affected in different ways than raspy voice but that would be even harder to judge if they seem like it or not. They’d still likely be better off physically not smoking but it’s not like we have any influence over that.

I don't know who either of those people are but I'm not surprised. Smoking/vaping is quite common in the idol world for stress relief and easing hunger pangs since most of them are on ridiculous and unhealthy/unsustainable diets.
