Fairytalesâ First Comeback
Itâs time for my pride and joy to return with their greatly (yes greatly) anticipated first comeback. You can find their first thread for their debut here if youâd like to look at it. This comeback was extremely fun to create and was a lot faster to do because 1. I know the members a little better now (weâre besties), 2. I vaguely know what I want these next few releases to look like, 3. Itâs my newest obsession to live through a fictional K-pop group rather than keep up with real K-pop lately.

The Concept
The members of Fairytale will be taking you on a journey into a well known story: Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Specifically for the mini album âMy Songâ itâs about a variety of different subjects that occur in a young personâs life, such as grief, stress, friendship and more.
âSnow Whiteâ is Stella and while the other members are currently no particular character that youâd find in the original story, they still join her in this fictional world.
All of the members' hair is black and has very minimal makeup for all photos, videos and promotions of the title track.

Track 2 - Lullaby (Title)
Produced by New Talent Entertainment Producers. Itâs an impactful pop rock track with an emotional undertone, focusing heavily on the members vocals. This track also doesnât include any rap verses and instead the rap line showcases their singing. This song tells the story of a child who recently lost their mom, attempting to go on with life but feels very lonely, confused and empty. It tells a story of missing their moms singing before bed each night, missing her voice, her favorite song, dancing with her around the castle and other memories with their mom. Near the last half of the song the child says that their motherâs new song would be encouraging words for them to keep going and that theyâre still loved.
Track 3 - Wishing Well
Produced by New Talent Entertainment, rap lyrics by Rena and Iris. Wishing Well is a minimalistic dance track, itâs very easy to listen to and the perfect road trip song. The song starts with the sound of a splash of water and a dreamy echo of Iris and Scarlett singing âWishingâ. Up until the first chorus itâs very dreamy and has a twinkling sound here and there. The bridge and last chorus is where the song really takes off with a beautiful harmony with Scarlett, Elfie and Stella. The lyrics are pretty simple, the song is about remaining optimistic and hopeful during the crazy times in life.
Track 4 - Mud Pie
A pop track Produced by New Talent Entertainment with rap lyrics written by Iris and Rena. This song shows off the memberâs youthful image, the lyrics are silly and playful and talk about taking time out of the day to take a breather and have fun with friends.
Track 5 - Your Magic Mirror
An uptempo, funk, dance pop track produced by Elfie with lyrics by all the members. Itâs a loud, heavy drum and saxophone driven track with the vocalists delivering their lines playfully and full of energy with the rap line having a long section to themselves full of sass and attitude before the final chorus. The lyrics are the members mentioning hurtful comments made online, specifically about someoneâs looks. They go back and forth naming off how beautiful they think their fellow members are. The bridge section is rap focused with Iris and Rena criticizing those who hide behind their screens saying nothing but negative comments towards others. The chorus lyrics focus on telling listeners to ignore the online negativity and realize how beautiful/handsome they are.
Track 6 - The Snow
Composed and written by Elfie & Iris, with Rena writing her rap lyrics, produced by New Talent. A melancholic track sung in hushed tones, the members' delivery of their lines is fragile and almost painful. Thereâs heavy use of wind sound and near the end you hear faint footsteps in snow before the song cuts out abruptly. The lyrics are a warning, something is coming, something is leaving tracks in the snow near the castle.
Music Video
Thereâs no ârealâ plot with this and has very few âglamorâ shots of the members so as to not distract from the song. The members also do not sing along to their parts unless theyâre in the main set (the ballroom). The music video starts rather abruptly, panning out of a focused shot of Stella (Snow White) sitting in the middle of a grand, dark and gloomy ballroom on the floor. She starts off the song.
The other members' main moments are depicting moments with their parents who (in the mv) are still alive. Some moments feature younger versions of themselves. To keep a cohesive imagery throughout the mv, all of these scenes are in the fictional world theyâre inside and fit that time where the fairytale is set in (1500âs). Ellieâs scene is with her father whoâs a baker, Rena is watching her father hunt, Scarlett is happily helping her mother with laundry, and Iris is harvesting flowers, vegetables and fruit with her mom.
Throughout the MV it shows Stella doing a contemporary/lyrical dance to whatâs being sung in the lyrics.
Other notable moments are Iris harvesting from an apple tree and Rena examining an arrow.
The MV ends with all of the members dancing to the last chorus of the song in the ballroom. The final formation is Iris, Elfie, Rena and Scarlett sitting in a circle with their knees to their chests and their face in their hands, while Stella is in the middle of them reaching towards the camera longingly.

The choreo
Iâm not a choreographer and all of this is very vague examples but I think it gives a better understanding of the overall picture/tone to explain what Iâm imagining. I also only have certain moments figured out, not the entire dance but hopefully reading what I do have and the mood board will help you better picture it.
I imagine the dance to be very flowy/delicate with a heavy emphasis on pained/sad facial expressions throughout. The beginning starts with Stella crouched in the center with the other members laying on their sides circling her. While she sings the first verse of the song they do some floor work as Stella appears to also be controlling them with fluid hand movements.
Moments in the chorus involve partner work as they try to console one another.
The final formation is exactly the same as the MV: Iris, Elfie, Rena and Scarlett sitting in a circle with their knees to their chests and their face in their hands, while Stella is in the middle of them reaching towards the camera longingly. Depending on who the ending fairy is, a member may uncover their face for the close up shot.
Comeback Stage Outfits
These stage outfits were⌠Difficult to say the least. I really did attempt to try to make them All unique while fitting the mood of the title song at first, but everything just wasnât working. The vision I had from the very beginning was matching, relatively simple blue dresses and thatâs what I ended up with (sorry to those who donât like matching stage outfits). But I liked putting these together and still giving each member an accessory or clothing item that makes their outfit different. Again, all the members' hair colors are black (unfortunately I canât edit colors in the app I use for these). My favorite is definitely Scarlettâs.

Fairytale Talks About Their First Comeback (Preparations, Each track, Teamwork, etcâŚ)
Interviewer: Congratulations on your first comeback. How does it feel to be back so soon?
Scarlett: Weâre so excited to be showing new music to our storytellers. To be honest I thought after our debuts promotions that I thought Iâd be ready for a long vacation but I just wanted to get right back into preparing for what was next. I was really eager.
Interviewer: Do you know how the idea for this comeback came to be? Why was this particular fairytale chosen?
Stella: I donât think there was ever another fairy tale or story considered actually, Snow White is a very recognizable story and I think thatâs why it was the perfect pick.
Interviewer: How did you all prepare for this comeback? Knowing what you know now after debuting.
Scarlett: I donât know if this is a bad thing, but I donât know if I prepared anymore differently than when I was preparing for our debut. I think Iâm more comfortable and sure of everything now though.
Rena: I donât think itâs a bad thing if youâre already great at everything, which you are.
*members lightly cheering*
Rena: For me personally, my dance training used to be very hip hop/street focused and since our debut, but especially for this comeback Iâve been taking contemporary dance classes. I have really long limbs so moving my body in a flowy and elegant way for this title track is very different to me. Stella was a big help to us when it came to getting down our movements correctly. I also have⌠Tougher features than the others so I really had to get the mood down for this song or else Iâd stick out poorly.
Elfie: I focused a lot on my facial expressions and it was actually really fun to get into a character and embody what weâre singing, it adds so much intensity to the performance.
Stella: Because Iâm playing Snow White I felt some pressure to be able to capture the audience's attention, sheâs so known for being almost like a doll and extremely pure hearted and kind, even when things are against her. I would try to put myself in her shoes and see things her way so I could properly portray her.
Iris: I took a lot of extra singing lessons. Thereâs no rapping verse in this song so I really wanted my parts where I sing to not be underwhelming because our vocalists do such a great job, I didnât want to drag the team down.
Elfie: You could be a main vocalist easily.
Iris: *chuckles*
Interviewer: Scarlett, as the leader you have the responsibility of making sure your teamwork is running smoothly, how would you describe the team's dynamic?
Scarlett: Thereâs not one member who is solely the one to comfort, or to lift the mood. There are members who may take on doing one of those things more than others but, whenever one of us is struggling we try to help one another. I do think that Rena and I naturally feel like itâs our duty to be the older sisters and keep the air between all of us comfortable. We want to be able to talk about anything as a group, so each night we gather and say âIf thereâs anything that bothered you or hurt you today, please speak up about it.â
Interviewer: The original title of the Fairytale is âSnow White & The Seven Dwarvesâ Stella, which dwarf best represents your other members?
Members : *laughing*
Stella: Oh no⌠What are all the dwarves' names again?

Interviewer: Iris and Elfie, how was it creating the track The Snow, what was the process like?
Elfie: We decided on the mood we wanted first, experimented with a few things and ended up going with Irisâ take on the production.
Iris: We composed the rest together with Elfie unnie taking care of the arrangements.
Interviewer : This title track is very different from your debut song, why did you choose this as the title? Did you have any doubts about it?
Elfie : It was actually Iris who suggested this as the title, I think all of us were unsure because initially âYour Magic Mirrorâ was the title because it went well with our debut song, still very youthful and focused on friendship⌠But realistically, it was a bit safe to go with that option and the whole point of us having a concept thatâs full of so many different potential topics, sounds and concepts would have been defeated if we went that way, it would have been unfortunate to go with something thatâs not challenging us and also something that isnât really telling the story of where we are in the world weâre currently in which is Snow White. I think in the end it was the best choice and Iâm glad our company took that suggestion of hers and really ran with it. Itâs personally my favorite song to perform so Iâm happy to sing it so often.
Scarlett : In the fairy tale, the death of her mother is a really pivotal moment in her life. Her father remarries and the person he remarried is what really makes this story to be honest, I think itâs a good choice to go with something that drastically changed Snow Whiteâs life.
Rena : I think itâs also a really good option right now because itâs the beginning of summer and while âYour Magic Mirrorâ may have been perfect for the season, I think we can stand out more with a song thatâs more expected later in the year. I hope people will enjoy it.
Interviewer : Stella, as Snow White during this album series how would you describe the song Wishing Well?
Stella : Mmm⌠Itâs the exact opposite of the title. The one singing in Wishing Well is ready to take life full force, is ready to continue on even if they stumble or if something bad happens, even little things like just running late to school or work. Itâs a nice song to listen to.
Interviewer : Why the name Mud Pie?
Rena : Because this albumâs central focus is on Snow Whiteâs childhood, our company asked us a lot about our own experiences and with what we shared with them they used that for a lot of the songs and elements of the album. For this I think we all mentioned getting dirty outside and more specifically making mud pies after it rained when we were really little. The song is trying to channel that level of innocence and carefree nature.
Interviewer: Who fits the concept of Mud Pie best?
Rena: Iris and Elfie. Theyâre both very innocent.
Interviewer: Your Magic Mirror is all about how beautiful/wonderful you think your fellow members are. Have the Fairytale members been targeted by negative comments?
Scarlett: I think anyone who puts themselves out there will always receive negative comments, especially regarding their appearance because itâs the first thing we all see and itâs so easy to do it online. Weâve all seen negative comments since debuting, yes, but we have each other to get through it all.
Interviewer : Why is The Snow the last song in the album? It seems like it would fit better closer to the title sound wise.
Iris : This song is a perfect set up for what's to come next, things will be getting more serious in the future as Snow White will be put in danger by the Huntsman and The Queen.
Interviewer: Are you already working on the next album?!

Iris: Weâre always working on the next project, I think weâre all really excited to continue to show our Storytellerâs more from us.

Your Magic Mirror
âYour Magic Mirrorâ is another song Fairytale will be promoting for 2 weeks on music shows after their title song âLullabyâ.
Music Video
The members are having a slumber party together, scenes move rapidly throughout the MV as theyâre all having fun together (doing each otherâs makeup, dressing up, dancing, watching horror movies, pillow fights, etcâŚ) During the last half of the song the members are goofing around on the stairs of the house and coming close to the camera to sing.

These are definitely some of my favorite stage outfits Iâve made for them so far. Obviously theyâll have safety shorts under their skirts, Rena will have a second slit added to her dress so it doesnât move up as she dances, etc⌠Their hair colors are also still all black for the promotions of this song as well.
I kept it to a denim, mint green and light pink theme with some members having beaded friendship bracelets or other cute accessories which I think adds a lot of character to each of their outfits.
By far my favorite outfit is Renaâs, with Iris and Stellaâs being pretty much tied.

Hand held selfie MV. The members are out enjoying their day in some sunny weather, going to an ice cream shop, walking around the streets and finally ending up at a park during the climax of the song. Like usual hand held MVâs, whoeverâs line it is is the member holding the selfie cam.
Mud Pie
Another handheld selfie MV. This time itâs a more âbehind the scenesâ take of the members practicing, getting hair/makeup done, and goofing off in their SuV while on their way to promotions.
The Snow
The Snow MV will be released after the final day of promotions for âYour Magic Mirrorâ.
Music Video
The MV will begin with no music, Stella slowly walking down a long hallway in the castle, barefoot and in a white, simple gown. It then goes to a shot of Elfie in the ballroom where she begins the song. Stella peaks into a room where a shadowy reflection of a woman is seen in a mirror, standing over a kneeling man with a bow and arrow. Terrified, Stella flees down the hall and down a winding staircase and out of the castle. As she flees she passes the other members who sing their parts of the haunting song. Eventually Stella is seen walking through the snow, with the members slowly joining her as they close the song together before they stop in a line, the sound of footsteps in the snow is heard and the screen goes black.

Iris: Dopey is really lovable, itâs a good one
Interviewer: Iris and Elfie, how was it creating the track The Snow, what was the process like?
Elfie: We decided on the mood we wanted first, experimented with a few things and ended up going with Irisâ take on the production.
Iris: We composed the rest together with Elfie unnie taking care of the arrangements.
Interviewer : This title track is very different from your debut song, why did you choose this as the title? Did you have any doubts about it?
Elfie : It was actually Iris who suggested this as the title, I think all of us were unsure because initially âYour Magic Mirrorâ was the title because it went well with our debut song, still very youthful and focused on friendship⌠But realistically, it was a bit safe to go with that option and the whole point of us having a concept thatâs full of so many different potential topics, sounds and concepts would have been defeated if we went that way, it would have been unfortunate to go with something thatâs not challenging us and also something that isnât really telling the story of where we are in the world weâre currently in which is Snow White. I think in the end it was the best choice and Iâm glad our company took that suggestion of hers and really ran with it. Itâs personally my favorite song to perform so Iâm happy to sing it so often.
Scarlett : In the fairy tale, the death of her mother is a really pivotal moment in her life. Her father remarries and the person he remarried is what really makes this story to be honest, I think itâs a good choice to go with something that drastically changed Snow Whiteâs life.
Rena : I think itâs also a really good option right now because itâs the beginning of summer and while âYour Magic Mirrorâ may have been perfect for the season, I think we can stand out more with a song thatâs more expected later in the year. I hope people will enjoy it.
Interviewer : Stella, as Snow White during this album series how would you describe the song Wishing Well?
Stella : Mmm⌠Itâs the exact opposite of the title. The one singing in Wishing Well is ready to take life full force, is ready to continue on even if they stumble or if something bad happens, even little things like just running late to school or work. Itâs a nice song to listen to.
Interviewer : Why the name Mud Pie?
Rena : Because this albumâs central focus is on Snow Whiteâs childhood, our company asked us a lot about our own experiences and with what we shared with them they used that for a lot of the songs and elements of the album. For this I think we all mentioned getting dirty outside and more specifically making mud pies after it rained when we were really little. The song is trying to channel that level of innocence and carefree nature.
Interviewer: Who fits the concept of Mud Pie best?
Rena: Iris and Elfie. Theyâre both very innocent.
Interviewer: Your Magic Mirror is all about how beautiful/wonderful you think your fellow members are. Have the Fairytale members been targeted by negative comments?
Scarlett: I think anyone who puts themselves out there will always receive negative comments, especially regarding their appearance because itâs the first thing we all see and itâs so easy to do it online. Weâve all seen negative comments since debuting, yes, but we have each other to get through it all.
Interviewer : Why is The Snow the last song in the album? It seems like it would fit better closer to the title sound wise.
Iris : This song is a perfect set up for what's to come next, things will be getting more serious in the future as Snow White will be put in danger by the Huntsman and The Queen.
Interviewer: Are you already working on the next album?!
*Members exchange looks*
Iris: Weâre always working on the next project, I think weâre all really excited to continue to show our Storytellerâs more from us.
Interviewer: Can you give us a spoiler?
Iris : I donât think our company would like that *laughs* I already did a little bit when talking about how âThe Snowâ is a setup for our next release.
Interviewer: Do you have any final thoughts to share with your fans?

Your Magic Mirror
âYour Magic Mirrorâ is another song Fairytale will be promoting for 2 weeks on music shows after their title song âLullabyâ.
Music Video
The members are having a slumber party together, scenes move rapidly throughout the MV as theyâre all having fun together (doing each otherâs makeup, dressing up, dancing, watching horror movies, pillow fights, etcâŚ) During the last half of the song the members are goofing around on the stairs of the house and coming close to the camera to sing.

Stage Outfits
These are definitely some of my favorite stage outfits Iâve made for them so far. Obviously theyâll have safety shorts under their skirts, Rena will have a second slit added to her dress so it doesnât move up as she dances, etc⌠Their hair colors are also still all black for the promotions of this song as well.
I kept it to a denim, mint green and light pink theme with some members having beaded friendship bracelets or other cute accessories which I think adds a lot of character to each of their outfits.
By far my favorite outfit is Renaâs, with Iris and Stellaâs being pretty much tied.

Wishing Well
Hand held selfie MV. The members are out enjoying their day in some sunny weather, going to an ice cream shop, walking around the streets and finally ending up at a park during the climax of the song. Like usual hand held MVâs, whoeverâs line it is is the member holding the selfie cam.
Mud Pie
Another handheld selfie MV. This time itâs a more âbehind the scenesâ take of the members practicing, getting hair/makeup done, and goofing off in their SuV while on their way to promotions.
The Snow
The Snow MV will be released after the final day of promotions for âYour Magic Mirrorâ.
Music Video
The MV will begin with no music, Stella slowly walking down a long hallway in the castle, barefoot and in a white, simple gown. It then goes to a shot of Elfie in the ballroom where she begins the song. Stella peaks into a room where a shadowy reflection of a woman is seen in a mirror, standing over a kneeling man with a bow and arrow. Terrified, Stella flees down the hall and down a winding staircase and out of the castle. As she flees she passes the other members who sing their parts of the haunting song. Eventually Stella is seen walking through the snow, with the members slowly joining her as they close the song together before they stop in a line, the sound of footsteps in the snow is heard and the screen goes black.
