Fairytale’s 2nd Comeback
This comeback was meant to be posted on October 6th but I just never got around to it until now.
This was extremely fun to create and I love how it all turned out. I’ve already started working on their next release
Anyways, please enjoy this long thread. Their artist thread has been updated with new images with their new hairstyles/colors.

Iris now has dirty blonde hair with her bangs still, Elfie has light brown hair with no bangs and Scarlett has very pale pink hair. Rena’s and Stella’s remain black.
The Concept
The best way I know how to explain it is: Prim and proper girl’s undermine those in society who think they’re simply just a “pretty face”. They want to continue breaking stereotypes and let it be known that there’s no “correct” way to be a lady, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to be a stay at home mom, nor is there anything wrong with wanting to be a business woman,, etc…

The Red version is pretty spot on with what I envisioned, the Blue version not so much, but it’s just really hard to find anything that looks like what I’m imagining for those photos. I wanted to incorporate puppets in a humorous way but puppets are insanely creepy lol and while this is a fall release, it’s not meant to be scary.

Produced by New Talent Entertainment with rap lyrics written by Iris and Rena. A playful pop-punk track. The lyrics are proud, sassy and at times boastful (basically a “I’m so great.” Sort of song) about Fairytale telling the listener to join their clique as it’s better than anybody else’s. “We’re the most memorable.” “No escape, We’re on all the magazines, radio stations and tv shows.” There’s a Mean Girls reference here and there in Iris and Rena’s rap verses.
Track 2 - Pretty Little Thing (Title)

Produced by Elfie, with lyrics by Elfie, Iris, & Rena. An energetic pop-rock/hip hop track with an explosive chorus and aggressive rap verses from the rap duo. All members showcase their abilities within this track. The lyrics bring up female stereotypes, The lyrics go on to say that they’re much more than all of what society thinks they’re like. And even if they are feminine, delicate, etc… They shouldn’t be looked down on for it. (Also want to preface that the lyrics aren’t shaming those that are naturally more feminine. Simply put, they want to be seen beyond the stereotypes.) Rena’s rap lyrics brings up “idol image” in the industry and how it negatively impacts her and others (Sweet natured, but still sexy, but also not scandalous. Keeping up a “pure” act but asked to flirt with strangers (fans)) While Iris’ verses bring up female rappers not being taken seriously.
Track 3 - 7 Ways You’ll Fall

Produced by New Talent Entertainment with rap lyrics written by Iris and Rena. A fun funk dance-pop track with an addictive chorus. It shows fairytales youthfulness. A simple song listing the seven ways listeners will fall for Fairytale (which are related to the seven dwarves).
Track 4 - Midnight Snack

Produced by Iris with lyrics by her and rena. A simple and laidback hip hop track. The lyrics reveal how busy the members have been since debuting, little sleep, no time to spend with family and friends, etc… But they’re too afraid to stop working for fear they’ll be forgotten because of how fast the industry goes. It’s a vulnerable track that explains what many idols probably fear.
Track 5 - Best Friends

Produced by New Talent Entertainment with Rena and Iris’ verses written by them. An emotional Melancholy pop track where the vocalists, specifically Scarlett shines beautifully with her deep tone. The lyrics talk about a past friendship between the singer and their best friend, but they unfortunately drifted apart as they got older and moved on to different things. The singer recalls how much this person meant to them and wishes they would have tried harder to stay in contact with them.
Track 6 - Naive Me

Produced by Elfie with rap lyrics by Rena and Iris. It’s a simple dance pop track that finishes off the mini album with a feeling of expectation for the future. The lyrics talk about the members being fooled and falling for things that some adults have said to them about the future, basically them being too hopeful and expecting things that occur in their teenage years/early adulthood to be almost like a dream.
Music Video
The MV starts off in a serious way, with the color grading dark and gloomy It begins with the huntsman searching the woods, he has a menacing and tough appearance and there’s a few close ups of his bow and arrows. It then switches to Stella (Snow White) trudging through the woods, scared and constantly looking behind her. The huntsman spots her and a chase begins. In the first pre chorus section Stella is pinned by the huntsman against a tree with a knife to her neck. It looks like it’s all over but just as the first chorus is about to begin, the huntsman notices a marionette puppet (of a huntsman) running, he looks at Stella who tilts her head and says the last line before the impactful chorus. The huntsman then gets ambushed with colored smoke bombs thrown by the other members, allowing Stella to run off and join them gleefully. The MV then continues its non serious tone of the girls terrorizing the huntsman who is comedically fleeing them(sort of like those silent film chase scenes). They attack him with water balloons, silly string, pester him while he tries to sleep around the fire, etc… One notable moment is when the huntsman is hiding in a trench, where the camera then pans up to the members casually holding weapons. The MV has one group dance scene where the members do the choreography in an open part of the forest at night with a large bonfire behind them, during the final chorus the trees around them are on fire as well. They all have their own individual sets as well and those clips are filmed in a more serious way. The MV ends with the members sitting around the bonfire with the huntsman, happily roasting marshmallows when a hooded figure approaches them and covering the screen before you hear the sound of someone biting into something.
MV Moodboard
This is definitely not exactly how I’m picturing the MV, it’s obviously pretty hard to find images that go along with such a specific look and tone but hopefully this still looks nice. The tone of the MV is very unserious, free spirited and playful with the sound of the actual song being explosive and really in your face. The more “serious” scenes are the first section when Stella’s being chased and the members' individual scenes.
Choreography
My idea is that the choreography is more hip hop based with moments of their signature “pretty/flowy” movements (specifically in the bridge and pre chorus). It’s a more difficult dance with emphasis on power and energy. The only specific part that I can envision is right before the chorus when whoever is saying the last line of the pre chorus they kneel at the center, the members make a “frame” around their face and move their arms slightly as the member in the center tilts their head (as if the others are controlling her.) Before the formation breaks apart and goes right into the chorus choreo. It's hard to explain lol.

Stella: She’s standing on a rock in front of a waterfall with a blood moon reflecting off the water. She’s in a long, flowy white dress that’s trailing over the water.

Iris: She’s in front of the bonfire in her solo scenes
Rena: She’s inside the cottage cooking messily making herself breakfast and lounging lazily on the extravagant furniture

It was too difficult to do all of them separately, specifically because the way I imagine Rena’s is really detailed and I didn’t like anything I ended up with so I didn’t want to leave her out so I just decided to mesh it all together.

This is just for their solo scenes, not the group choreo scenes. It was really fun doing this since it wasn’t limited to the thought of “Can they actually do the choreo I’m picturing in this?” As well as the need to give them a cohesive color scheme. My favorite outfit is Rena’s, it’s really different for her but it looks super cute.
Main Dance Scene Outfits
These will also be one of their stage outfits during promotions. These took so long to make and are so far the hardest outfits I’ve made lol. My original vision was a gold and emerald green color scheme with sequins but it just wasn’t very cohesive looking so I ditched the sequin idea.
By far my favorite is Iris’ and Elfie’s outfits.

I know a lot of people don’t like camouflage outfits but I personally think it’s a cute look. Elfie’s and Iris’ are again my favorite outfits.

Interview
Interviewer: Fairytale is back so soon, wow! Were you anticipating to be back so soon?
Scarlett: We didn’t want to leave our fans too long without anything and to be honest, our company put a lot of thought into our first year and what we all wanted to show in the span of our first year as a group.
Interviewer: What would have happened if your first year didn’t go as well as it has been?
*members exchange glances*
Elfie: I guess they would have really regretted putting all that time and effort into us *laughs*
Interviewer: Can you please explain what this release is all about?
Rena: Our title song “Pretty Little Thing” talks about a wide range of things to me. It talks about female stereotypes, breaking those stereotypes if you wish but also letting people know that it’s not inherently bad if you do happen to be a girly girl, you know, or delicate and it’s also not bad to wish to be more masculine or more business focused. There’s no rulebook on how to be a lady as one of the lines says. Everyone is their own individual person and that’s okay.
Interviewer: Speaking of your lyrics, could you Rena and Iris talk about your rap verses in the song and why you chose those topics.
*Rena gestures for Iris to go first much to Iris’ silent protests*
Iris: For me personally I went with what came to mind first, female rappers aren’t taken as seriously as male rappers, and while I think there are a lot of great female rappers that are popular nowadays… I think for female idol rappers it’s even more difficult to be taken seriously and I want people to know that there are some really wonderful female idol rappers who work hard at it.
Rena: When I presented the verse to our company they were initially a little hesitant because of how blunt it is but I was able to convince them to let us keep it how it is. I’m incredibly grateful for the love and the success we’ve been given, but with fame there are always these negative things that are unfortunately part of it, some more serious than others. It’s an amazing dream to live out but it’s also difficult and you have to adapt quickly. I think there’s a lot of harmful elements and I wanted people to know that I’m fully aware of what they say about me, my members and fellow idols.
Stella : She wanted to scare them
Elfie: Burn them with the evil queen!

Interviewer: The music video look’s very jam packed with multiple different things, but the most memorable moments to me was when you all were messing with the huntsman, how was filming with him? How did you come up with certain scenarios?
Elfie: The actor who played the huntsman is a trainee from our company so we were able to get comfortable with him quickly since we trained together which I think made the humor element shine more. A lot of the scenarios were determined prior to filming but we each did throw out a few ideas here and there.
Interviewer: What were your favorite scenes to film?
Scarlett: The dance scene with the fire was really memorable to me, when we got to see it all come together it was really grand and intense.
Rena: I had a lot of fun filming my solo scene, the director gave me free reign to do whatever I wanted so I really got to do so much in the set and with the props like I’ve never been able to before.
Stella: The scene where we’re chasing the huntsman around the tree was really fun, it was simple to film but I don’t think we made it through a single take without laughing.
Elfie: I loved the scenes where we got to play with the colored smoke and chalk while chasing the huntsman.
Iris: Same as Scarlett's, the final dance scene with the fire was really cool. My solo scene in front of the bonfire was really fun as well.
Elfie: It was really hot though *laughs*
Rena: Very hot, our team had to constantly do touch ups on our makeup and hair
Interviewer: Was the final dance scene also the hardest then?
Scarlett: No, Stella’s solo scene was by far the hardest
Stella: The water was freezing, it's not a built set, it’s out in the middle of a real waterfall. Even if it feels alright at first, we’re shooting for a little bit and the water just feels colder and colder.
Interviewer: The dance incorporates more hip hop elements in it compared to your previous titles, was the style of dance something you consciously wanted to change as well?
Iris: Definitely, yes. I think what we’ve mainly shown so far as a group is our vocals, and this time we wanted to show all of our individual strengths which I think you see in this mini album.
Scarlett: Our dance line is really talented and I think Stella and I hold our own really well with more intense and difficult choreographies as well. We still kept the elegant movements in the choreo which I really think makes it very Fairytale.
Interviewer: I heard that “Only Royals” was the song where you struggled with the lyrics the most. Was there a reason why?
Rena: Iris and I had way too many ideas * laughs* we could have made 5 more songs with all the different lyrics we came up with. It was hard to narrow it down but I think it also made it that much more rewarding because the final result is something we’re really proud of.
Interviewer: 7 Ways You’ll Fall is said to be a song you all can’t wait to perform for your Storytellers. Why?
Stella: It’s one of those songs that’s 100 times more fun and exciting when hearing it live. It’s really similar to “Your Magic Mirror” from our previous mini album which the public really seemed to love. So we hope this becomes another favorite for our fans.
Rena: The hook is also incredibly catchy and so is the dance, we think they’ll really like it.
Interviewer: How did you decide on including Midnight Snack in this album?
Elfie: I think one thing that we’ve always said to our company is that while we want some songs to be fun and carefree, we also want to use our music as a way to relate to others or to voice our thoughts. I think this needed to be included because it’s something a lot of idols and in some ways non idols can relate to when focusing on this dream you have.
Interviewer: What’s your goal with this mini album?
Rena: Of course we want to do well on the charts and music shows, I think it would be really great though if another one of our songs from this comeback could be as loved or even more loved than “Your Magic Mirror.”
Elfie: We have a fun idea if we do manage to get first place on a music show, we’ll do our encore stage with hand puppets which I think would be memorable. *laughs*
Interviewer : A lot of fans are wondering if you’ll be preparing anything for the end of the award ceremonies, are you? What can you tell us?
Scarlett: Well, we definitely are hoping to prepare fun stages. As for a sneak peak,,, I guess the best word for it is just “celebration”.
