I just can’t wrap around my thoughs. Feeling awful and sick.
I need some documents from my bio dad. Thing is I have like zero contact. Every time we do talk it’s so awkward and unpleasant. I just don’t want anything to do with him
and his family and really am much more happy with just having my mom and stepdads families around. He just called since I had to reach out and it just I can’t. I don’t know why but I just it’s hard to explain I guess.

Is there a way you can have someone else contact him for these documents or does it have to be you specifically-I'm sorry though regardless because it's rough having a tense relationship with someone you are biologically related to and "supposed" to love and get along with. So I hope you manage to feel better and find a way through it.

Instead of talking via phone, would it be possible to email him? That might be much easier for you rather than having to talk to him. Then you can just ask if he'll mail the documents to you.

If that isn't possible, I hope you can get those documents without too much pressure.

You might have to set some boundaries. If this is how you feel at the thought of talking to him via phone call, he might understand if you actually tell him to keep communication to strictly text messages. He shouldn't push for more if you don't want so if he knows to only text, then he might just do that instead. In the future any phone calls should be pre-planned via text as to not catch you unaware or something.

that definitely would be best. just glad after this that I don’t have to have any contact with him at all
