So I loved season 1, all of it was awesome and even the random af pacing was enjoyable, all of the characters, the fantasy setting, the mystery and lore of the world. It was all awesome. I was hyped af for season 2...

(Not the netflix seasons 2, the actual season 2)

And I'm not sure what to think, the comandments as a group are cool and the idea is fun, the fact that they sat on a tree for like 10 episodes... then dispersed cause of Meliodas and then... came back together in an instant to kill him.... was not that good. I'm fine with him dying but like we are led to believe that the other 6 (4 without Merlin and doll dude that is annoying) are almost useless against them... even after "powering up". In a sense the power up was useless, Dianes "dance with the earth" didn't even show up not to mentioned that her and King were just absent??? Leaving Escanor and Ban to do absolutely everything...

Escanor as a character is awesome and op which is cool. Ban is op cause he can't die but he's not that strong as far as combat goes. And the rest of the characters equal 0 in the combat sense against the comandments...

Besides that I am annoyed that this was in essence, half a season, the other half is season 3 and I hate when I don't get to finish an arc... The power up was also useless for every character that isn't Meliodas so... they better impress me with season 3 cause damn this annoyed me.

Honorable mentions: The absolutely anti-climactic end of those 2 comandments... that Elizabeth basically could have beaten alone. Aaaaanddd Meliodas just randomly waking up for 2 antagonista that imo aren't even that threatening, to save Eli...

I can relate to almost what you've said, imo having an OP protagonist character is good tho its not Meliodas but manga readers said it will be good in the future and I find it entertaining whenever an anime introduce an antagonist as strong as possible then still end up dying.

I agree, him dying was a great thing to do I just think they could have done a better job at making his comeback more sudden.

And yea I watched a video recently about why Meliodas is OP done right and i skipped some manga spoilers but by what he said they do him and the other justice by the end of it all. I think I was mostly annoyed cause of how much I liked the first season but I calmed down a bit now 😂
