I should get around to actually watching it one day. I've read the manga (though I can't exactly remember where I stopped) but never got around to watching the anime. Might give it a go for the soundtrack alone

I watched a bit of Pokemon when I was very young but I didn't really register it as anime and I didn't watch it that often. My first proper anime is a cute shoujo anime called Special A. It was pretty mediocre but it was enough to get me into anime

I can't think of pokemon as an anime, i thought it was a cartoon until i was approaching my 20s.

i completly stoped watching after unova, but my brother and i watched a few episodes of sun and moon
(mainly the one where brock and misty re-appear as guests/ ash breifly visting kanto again and jesus i hate the character design)
and the one where he FINALLY wins the pokemon leauge.

my fav seasons/regions are kanto, jhoto, and sinnoh.
i heard that x and y is pretty good but i never got around to it. but i heard that his charcter in x and y is mature, which i loved about him in sinnoh so maybe i'll give it a shot if i ever can.

and yea pokemon (and one piece) forever i dont care what anyone says

You got pretty far still. I think the first season is still my favorite, it had some of the best stories like the "Titanic" one which was quite nervewracking as kid xd

Ash is pretty good in XY, but so far I can't really say if he's more mature or not xd I think apart from first season he has matured (not sure about Sun and Moon though). But I can't rly stand the girl of the season, she's opposite of mature and she just doesn't have any goal of her own. Like her whole thing so far has been that she knew Ash as kid and has crush on him so she sticks around. Maybe she will eventually find sth, but so far she is mostly commentator. Tbh, I haven't rly warmed up to main cast in this one so far so I don't rank XY high. But again, maybe it gets better.. hope so ^^

I'm honestly never sure where to start with anime I'm only ever able to watch it every once in a while and I never really know what to choose from, I think I've only watched around 4 animes.

Well you can always ask recs here, there is quite lot of people here who like anime :)

Also if you have Netflix nowadays lot of anime get released there as well so it can be easy and legal way to watch.

But there is so many around so I can see how it can feel intimidating. I guess it's same with new kpop fans just tons of groups and soloist around, mvs and albums to check endlessly
