What was your first impression of the new place, and what's your current impression?

My first impression when I moved from NC to OH in seventh grade: "Good God, is this Ohio or Antarctica???" lol There were like three feet of snow on the ground, and it was still falling when we first moved in. My parents and I were not happy, because we were so used to the mild winters of NC - complete culture shock!
Current impression: The people are nicer here than in Charlotte, and the healthcare is also way better.

Now: I'm never living in the city again.

Now: I’m so happy everything is so close. I finally have friends. OMG I can actually have a job in my feild. The neighborhood is so quiet. Public transit fucking sucks tho

I first moved temporally for a year. First impression, it was very homogenous town. Also, too disgustingly hot.
Current impression is still the same. >.>

Then we moved to what is my parent's home. First impression, it felt cold and not the temperature. Begged my parents to let me to live with my uncle so I could finish school with my friends and it worked.
Current impression of my parent's home, I like it more now and it's somewhat cozy.

i've moved a quite some time but when i moved again from SK in around 5th grade United States school system. I had already lived in America but i didn't like it, i was leaving all my friends and i wanted to pursue my idol dreams in South Korea. In America lots of people were awkward to me and i didn't make a lot of friends 🥲

I moved to South Italy, originally from Asia. First impression, they are fairly lazy and talkative ppl. It's got a closer culture to Asia than you would imagine. Most probably not part of Europe if talking culturally tbh. I still think same

I don’t remember much of anything because I was really little. I do remember the fact that the old owners had a cute black dog and liked that

one time back in 7th grade i moved back their and came back during the summer before 8th grade, i begged my mom to go back because i missed my home place

In that case no wonder they didn’t talk about sex ed (referring to the post in a different thread). You were too young for them to encourage having or not having kids

yeah, my american friends said they learned about it in the 7th grade though.

I don’t remember for sure if they mentioned it in other grades but our main sex ed/general health was 10th grade for sure, that’s where we did most of not all the protection and don’t have kids talks. In 7th grade we might have mentioned the very basics but I kind of doubt we covered any sex Ed then. But it varies from school to school in the US, even states don’t have the same requirements for public schools, let alone private too, and some states even ban certain topics that others cover in health. So maybe for them they did have something
