carrots?? here it's called pâté chinois and it's always meat corn potato nothing else
it's like our national meal alonside poutine
and yes we do put spices on top, my grandma always have done it and the recipe was passed down the family

I do onions, bell peppers, ground beef (or alternative depending on what we have available), celery, carrots, corn, and potatoes. The potatoes have garlic and parsley mashed into it with butter and milk. The meat layer has the spices: celery salt, paprika, ground cumin and cinnamon sugar.

mhm i don't know the exact spices my grandma use, that's the ingredients that change with everyone. it's just here no one would dare change the original ground beef, corn and mashed potato template. it's a really special tradition 😭

We’ve done a ground pork/beef combination if we don’t have enough beef but thats rare. I’m also quite picky so I finally found something I like
