Do you have a default coasting pedal position? I rode a bike for the second time in many years and first time in many years for more than a very short distance, and I noticed that any time I’m not pedaling, my right pedal is at the bottom and my left is at the top (knee bent). I could change this if I really tried, but I had to focus a lot to not default to it. So I was curious if anyone else had a similar tendency

I've always been afraid to coast bc what if I hit something and/or fell off? lol I did use to ride when I was going to the store to get a few things. There was a store within riding distance of my first house in Charlotte, so I'd often go there on my bike. With supervision, ofc - I was only six or seven at the time

I actually find coasting to give me less nerves, because now that I don’t put any thought in pedaling and speed it’s super easy to be extra aware of the surroundings it’s pretty common that if I need to pass someone or something, I’ll coast for at least a couple seconds while I decide where I’ll go and how to avoid obstacles
