The most venomous species of jellyfish is called the irukandji. They adults are about the size of a cubic cm, and the sting is barely noticeable. Soon after the sting all kinds of symptoms appear, including headaches, back aches, anxiety, increased heart rate, fluid in the tissue and lungs, as well as many more. There is no antibiotic, so the symptoms need to be treated individually. On average between 50 to 100 people are sent to the hospital per year due to stings.
