Fun Fact of the Day #37 (1 Viewer)

[Ahsoka]

The manchineel tree presents many dangers to people. The fruit looks like green apples, and while it is sweet, it is very toxic. The sap is very toxic as well, and can cause burns when in contact with skin and temporary blindness when in contact with eyes. The sap can even be transferred to humans through water, making it dangerous to stand underneath one of these trees in the rain. Despite its dangers, the tree is sometimes used for furniture wood, after many precautions are taken to ensure safety of the people cutting the tree down.

Appreciate the fact that most of you probably don't live in the Caribbean
