They were doing these raffles with different prizes for the annual National Night Out. The event is held every year on the 1st Tuesday of August around the country. In my case, they would do a smaller event where I live and all the residents who live on the housing complex.
My mom and I entered the raffles for free with the idea that we were going to win something from there.
And we did something from the raffles. I ended up winning the first raffle of the event and I ended up getting a pair of JBL Wireless Headphones for winning that raffle.
There were also a lot of donated bikes that were raffled off, but most of them were kids' bikes with training wheels. There was also one bigger bike that can an adult used, My mom ended up winning one of the kids' bikes with a Spiderman Helmet and I started to chuckle (my mom said, "No Te Rie" to me). My mom gave a woman who was with a young boy, and gifted the bike and helmet to him (it was fair because my mom and I had no use for a kids' bike and she didn't want to sell it).
I understand that bikes were donated, but most of the winners were older adults with no children or grandchildren (another winner of a kid's bike gave the bike to a girl because had no one to give the bike to). Only one of the bikes was won by mother who has a daughter. There should've been more bigger bikes than children's bikes because how many winners didn't have children or grandchildren.
