if someone boasted about how much money they had the very next question I would ask is how much do you actually have and if they fail to disclose it then it would seem merely a boast and thus not definitive proof of the actual statement which puts the original statement into question...

if I see them depositing a lot it doesn't mean they have a lot of money in their bank account - all it shows is that they are depositing a lot
