I love how well my Ganyu and Yanfei work together. My damage numbers for Yanfei are finally decent for once

You can also sometimes buy her from that shop ingame I will show a screenshot because it is hard to explain lol. So far I bought weapons from it and I think once a character but I can't remember who but yeah you earn that starglitter stuff if you get duplicates in your wishes

Yes, there are times you can have his shield up the whole fight depending what you are fighting lol but for bosses I only use his shield to take on the heavy hitting attacks then switch right back to my damage dealers. Ganyu is squishy so she needs that protection she is literally a glass cannon tons of damage but bosses hit her hard

literally same here... like i felt so bad for myself for accidentally pulling on his banner and not ganyu but i'm terrible with bow users in the game so maybe it was destiny

I think it depends on the artifact set you use on her and how you want to play.

If you want to play a freeze comp (blizzard strayer), one of her most meta teams is ganyu, mona, venti, and diona for a permafreeze/stun thing. You could probably replace venti with sucrose or kazuha if you don't have him. For freeze, definitely play her with diona for the cryo res and shielding. I think ayaka can also replace diona on this team if you have her? I just don't know exactly how that team comp works.

If you want to play a melt comp (wanderers troupe), the typical xiangling bennett, sucrose/flexible comp would be pretty good. It would just be a harder comp to play. You could use diona for this one too, but cryo res isn't as effective on melt comps. If you want to play super meta, you should try getting bennett as soon as possible, he's one of the strongest characters in the game and is useable on a ton of different teams as long as you don't c6 him. Idt he's replaceable on this team comp either.

Outside of team comps, I think zhongli and xingqiu could be good with her as well. Zhongli's lowkey good with anyone, but especially for ganyu since she's so squishy. If you play her with xingqiu, you might have to do some auto attacks in between your charges? But it should still be fun.

TLDR:

If you want to play more casually though, honestly anyone would probably work, just play however you want, you should be able to clear most if not all content with any kind of comp. Out of the characters that youve listed, id say build diona and mona for sure since they just make life so much easier with ganyu. and maybe build xingqiu if you think hes fun to play with ganyu.

oh i was playing a lot (+ welkin) so i got venti, zhongli, ayaka, raiden, c1 hu tao, ganyu and now miko (also a c3 diluc and a c1 jean but we don't talk about this)

i'm kinda looking forward to ayato, i was hoping for a different design but his skills look sick, i might try to get him and if i fail i'll go for klee or kazuha or maybe i'll wait for the dendro archon

honestly i really like the idea but it was way too short. would mind it if they did sth like this in mondstadt for example (not the whole map, maybe just the eastern part), so that i had a reason to explore that part of teyvat again tho ;;
