VIXX too

Vixx were a 6 member boy group (technically 5 now unfortunately). The og lineup included (in age order) N, Leo, Ken, Ravi, Hongbin, and Hyuk. Vixx are known as the concept kings. They debuted in 2012 with some slightly cringey but still lowkey bop songs including Superhero (debut) and Rock Your Body (comeback). Starting in 2013, they gained more attention when they started to do intense concepts, including Jekyll and Hyde, voodoo dolls, and more. Some of their later concepts included Greek gifs, Perfume: The story of a murderer, and paradise (Shangri La). The main vocalists are Leo and Ken, the main dancer is N, and the main rapper is Ravi. Ravi’s written/composed many of Vixxs songs, as well as some other songs too. Also just needs to be mentioned, Hyuks gas station scream is iconic to this day. I probably know more but this is all I can get without thinking too hard so I’ll end it here

SuperM are the best boy group in existence to start off my facts
But in reality, they are a 7 member super group under SM entertainment. The members include (in age order) Baekhyun (from Exo, also the leader of SuperM), Taemin (Shinee, has the most industry experience), Kai (Exo), Taeyong (NCT, more specifically leader of NCT 127 and part of NCT U), Ten (NCT, more specifically WayV and part of NCT U), Lucas (NCT, more specifically WayV and part of NCT U) and Mark (NCT, more specifically NCT 127, NCT Dreams leader, and NCT U). SuperM became the first kpop group to top the billboard charts with a debut album though its true that they had help based off their past popularity in their og groups. SuperM had a lot of inter group friendships but the most notable include Mark and Ten,Mark and Kai, Lucas and Kai, Taemin and Ten, Baekhyun and literally everyone. They had a reality show that was a mixture of cringe and amusing and led to many memeable moments. They’ve had some other appearances including on part of Glamour and other stuff like that. They also had a tour shortly after their debut where they sold out many stadiums, including Madison square garden. They officially debuted in the us before in Korea as well. Their first full length album was also unique, as it was a mixture of Konglish songs and English songs. Their official debut, Jopping, is a meme as well. Basically they’re meme kings and say interesting stuff but release only bops so stan everybody

AND NCT oke i am done

NCT (short for Neo Culture Technology) is a group composed of members from many parts of the world. The idea behind it is that there’s a subunit for each region, but so far there are only Korean and Chinese subunits, with promises of other areas in the future (ex. NCT Hollywood). Currently there are 2 Korean subunits(NCT Dream and NCT 127), one Chinese subunit (WayV), and one United subunit(NCT U). There are currently 23 members, with one member on hiatus (Lucas). NCT Dream is the debut of 7 of the youngest members at the time of debut of NCT 127 and NCT U. The concept was originally a rotational concept, with the members graduating from said subunit. Mark graduated, but the concept was changed and he was brought back. The og members and current members include Mark, Jeno, Jaemin, Haechan, Renjun, Chenle, and Jisung, with Jisung being the maknae of the subunit and of NCT as a whole. NCT Dream debuted with Chewing Gum, and were the first to get a music show win out of all NCT groups. Their latest release was Beatbox, and was a repackage of their previous album Glitch Mode. The next Korean Subunit is NCT 127. The 127 stands for the longitude of Seoul, meaning that they are based in Seoul. NCT 127 includes 9 members, Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark, and Haechan. Winwin was a member of NCT 127 in the past but has not been with them since WayVs debut, while Doyoung and Johnny were not in NCT 127 at the beginning but were added later. NCT 127 debuted with Fire Truck, and had lukewarm success for a while before becoming very popular, particularly in the states where one member (Johnny) is from and where two members (Mark and Jaehyun) lived for some time. NCT 127 has Japanese, Korean, American, and Canadian members, with a past of having a Chinese member as well. WayV (short for Weishen V somehow don’t ask me how) is NCTs Chinese subunit. They debuted the most recently with 7 members: Kun(leader), Ten, Hendery, Xiaojun, Winwin, Lucas, and Yangyang(maknae). They released a Chinese version of regular that some consider their debut, while others consider their first original release, Take Off) to be their debut. Their most recent album was Kick Back. They were supposed to have another one last year, but due to Lucas’ scandal they pushed it back. All the members are Chinese or Taiwanese, with the exception of Ten, who was born in Thailand, but has ethnic roots in China. Certain members are also form areas that have more autonomy than the other parts of China, including Macau and Hong Kong. The final subunit is NCT U, which stands for NCT United. This subunit involves all the members of the previous subunits with the adddition of Shotaro (Japanese) and Sungchan (Korean), both of whom were added in 2020 to NCT. NCT U takes members based on the concept and has a different lineup for each release. NCT U was the first NCT unit to debut, with 5 members being part of the original lineup (Ten, Taeyong, Mark, Jaehyun, Doyoung). Their most recent release was Universe, with 21 members taking part (Winwin had schedules in China and Lucas had his scandal).

Victon are a 6 member boy group under Plan A entertainment I believe. The members I can remember off the top of my head are Hanse, Sejun, Byungchan, and Seungwoo. They recently gained more attention due to a survival show (Px101 I think) where one of the members made it to the final lineup. That’s all I know really

All I know is that they’re a girl group with I think 6 members? Some releases include ASAP and Stereotype, but their debut was So Bad. They’re a fairly new group, debuting in 2020 or 2021. A couple members are Isa and Sieun.

Class:y is a girl group that debuted this year. They were formed by a survival show, My Teenage Girl, which got some negative attention due to one of the producers calling survival shows “healthy/soft porn” despite having a load of underage members as part of the show. That’s all I really know about them.

Oneus: A 6 member boy group under RBW Entertainment. The members include Ravn (leader), Seoho, Leedo, Keonhee, Hwanwoong, and Xion. They had many prerelease performances, which aided their popularity. They debuted with Valkyrie, and continued to release very good songs and music videos (yes I’m getting biased here). They went on Road to Kingdom and had many solid performances, but were unable to win. They have continued to gain popularity since the show and have managed to get music show wins. Their most recent release was Bring It On.

Twice are a 9 member girl group under JYP Entertainment that debuted in 2016 with Like Ooh Ahh. The members are Jihyo, Chaeyoung, Tzuyu, Nayeon, Dahyun, Jeongyeon, Momo, and 2 others I’m forgetting. They used to be known for cute concepts but have matured, mostly starting with Fancy, and now do more mature concepts such as I Can’t Stop Me. They’re popular especially in Korea and Japan, but internationally as well, being one of the top girl groups at the moment. Their album sales are also unusually high for a girl group.

Originally 9, now 8 member boy group under JYP Entertainment. They were formed by an in house survival show, where they originally started with 9 members. Throughout the show, w members were eliminated (Felix and Lee Know) but brought back by the end. They debuted with District 9 and quickly rose to be one of the top bgs of the fourth generation, even going so far as to win Kingdom. They consistently are million sellers at least. The og members are Woojin, Seungmin, Bang Chan, Lee Know, Han, Hyunjin, Felix, IN, and Changbin. The current members are the same sans Woojin, who is now a soloist under a different label.
