Because the English versions lyrics are emo and bless the world for emoness
Also youre a flop, Shoot Me is a bop, not Shoot Out.

Okay now for real.

Intro is nice, not particular musical but it is Monsta X. Knowing how the rest of the song goes it does seem a little unneccesarily intense, but it does catch your attention.
Joohoens rap is great as usual, but I dont like how the words flow. IM's rap is perfect though.
Id say the same about the next vocal bit, it sounds alright but again I think the words sound like they don't flow well. Maybe its because Ive listened to much to the English version, but I kind of felt the same way before the English version was even released.
I will admit the nal wihae part is better than the English version, something about it is so satisfying to listen to. Shownus next part goes back to not flowing well though,although I dont like that part a whole lot in the English version either.
I do like how they connect the beginning to the rest with the walker walker part and use it as a transition. This isnt my favorite rap from IM, but its alright in both versions. Jooheons rap starts off nice but in both version just sounds rushed at the end.
The next part is just like the beginning, Ive already covered that.
The next part is so good in both versions, but still sounds better in English.Its probably my favorite part, they connect it to the earlier part while changing it.
The ending is nothing special tbh, though Kihyuns high note was nice.

Overall I just dont find that the Korean lyrics flow as well as the English ones and thats why I didnt like it when it was released. I did like the instrumental and melody but found the singing difficult to listen to. Even after listening to it multiple times, I still felt the same way so it wasnt even a case of just needing to listen to it a couple times to get used to it or anything.

I remember checking this out, wasnt it in your top 100?
I expected a ballad when I first listened to it, and while it is slow I like how it's more intense, especially the chorus. I do find it a bit repetitive though, especially given the rhythm, it seems to be almost exactly the same throughout the whole song with no variation at all, which does get boring after a while, especially since it is a solo song which takes out some variation you'd see in a group song already.

Overall I'd say its a 5.5/10, I dont dislike it necessarily but I wouldnt go out looking for this song and given a choice between listening to it and not I would chose not to.

It just started and Im pretty sure youre right
She has a nice voice, it goes well with the guys voice too. Im still listening to it and Im pretty sure I already forget how to chorus goes though.:pepehelp: It doesnt sound bad but tbh I cant wait for it to be over already. The memorable part is the constant repeating of the I could which I find a little annoying, though Im not sure why, maybe its just the repetitiveness.
I dont think much needs to be said about the rapping considering I hate rapping, but I do like the lyrics for that part.

This is honestly just such a good song, Taeyeons voice is so beautiful here and the song really highlights it well. The rap part I feel doesnt add much of anything to the song though, and although she sings well I think towards the end the high notes get a little high to really be enjoyable to listen to.

Solid 9/10, its one of my favorites from her

Like Taeyeon she has a nice voice, but right from the start it feels like the instrumental is a little distracting and the vocal parts arent really highlighting her strengths. The chorus is a lot better than the verses imo, but for me a song cant be exclusively saved by the chorus because then it gets very old.

6/10, I wouldnt turn it on if it came on but I wouldnt seek it out either

Lol its okay I dont mind, especially since I know less about ggs so is interesting listening to their songs.

Siren: The intro is pretty long, I expect something to change quicker with such an intense leadup. The chorus also sounds pretty out of place, although that might be because Ive heard it so often but never in the context of the whole song. The la la la part does seem very flat after the chorus though. Now that I listen to the rest the instrumental does connect the chorus, so it still sounds a little out of place but not as much, and given the concept I guess it fits. The chorus is very addictive, she has a voice that really draws attention and the instrumental definitely does favors. Honestly get rid of the la la la part and the song would be a total bop, that does drag it down a bit. I'd say an 7.5/10, I really like where her music is going tbh.

Starry Night: Its definitely pretty slow right from the start, which is usually not a good thing for me.I dont particularly like the rapping either. The prechorus and chorus are so beautiful, their vocals always are gorgeous, though the ya ya yas feel a little weird to me for some reason. The verses are alright, but are a little boring. Tbh the whole song is beautiful but kind of boring to me. I guess a 6.5/10, I wouldnt turn it off either but wouldnt chose this song to listen to.

Sorry this is my last, this is too good imo to not be rated by you @Vikki

Not a fan of the first bit, I just dont like the first girls tone very much. I like the increased intensity before the chorus, but I do think the vocals sound a bit quiet compared to the instrumental. The chorus sounds alright, but usually choruses like that do get a little old pretty quickly. Im not too sure about how suddenly the instrumental cut out either. The rapping is alright this time around, I have the same opinion about the prechorus and chorus as before. I kind of like the last chorus better, maybe because the prechorus was less intense and noisy than the other prechoruses, which made me appreciate the vocals more.

On the bright side this song is definitively not overly repetitive and boring, but on the other hand it does seem to jump around a bit too much imo, its like each section is too separate almost. There are some very addictive parts though, and honestly I think this song could grow on me if I listened to it more, so I guess Ill give it a 6.5/10, although it might change later.
