What do you think about 2NE1 first album?


Today I rediscovered it after few years and it's still one of my favourite kpop albums. Fire, In the Club, Let's go party are amazing. Would you agree?

How about Awaken the World by WayV

Turn Back Time isn’t bad, but I don’t think I would listen to it much. Bad Alive is ok again, I don’t like the instrumental much. The chorus I think is a bit catchy though, if I’m being honest. Unbreakable isn’t bad, but it also isn’t super appealing to me if I’m being honest. I think After Midnight is my favorite so far tbh the instrumental adds to the chorus, making it nice and catchy. Only Human has potential but I don’t think it reaches it for me. Domino is kind of good. I do feel like something is missing from it so it’s not great. I hate the instrumental for Up From Here-the vocals aren’t bad though, if I’m being honest. I just wouldn’t willingly seek this song out. Electric Hearts wasn’t bad and Stand By Me wasn’t my jam.

Overall a 5.5/10. Not a bad album and no songs were particularly bad but I wouldn't go and listen to this album willingly after this-its just not for me. I really liked After Midnight.

Golden Goose is garbage please save my ears-no offense some parts were good, but I hated the chorus so much with that instrumental. I don’t recall thinking this before, but it sounds like the guys are straining their voices big time in Goblin which is weird. The raps in it are really good though to be honest, which isn’t surprising and the vocal parts are nice and catchy. Baby Tonight is nice to be honest but I don’t think I’d seek it out either so it’s kind of ok??? Stand By You once again is a pretty song but it’s not as amazing as their previous slower songs that I would actively seek out-but it really is beautiful. But the lyrics feel cheesy at least the English bits which can be off-putting when it’s repeated over and over again. I almost didn’t realize the song changed to Clover. I think this song is a bit more interesting the previous song and I think this song is the closest to my general taste. Clover is probably my favorite song on this album.

The album is probably a 6/10. I definitely think Clover is my favorite song. And Golden Goose is my least favorite.

I don't know how far exactly you go with your definition of straining vocal but for me it most definitely is not. Maybe Jun sounds a bit strained but that's only because he has more of a nasal tone.
They did a live vocal performance of it, if u wanna check that out.


Stand By You is really repetitive, especially towards the end, my least favorite of the album, might also be cuz they released it a month or two before so i kinda grew bored of it lol

Mise-en-Scene is ok. It sounds like most of their other songs and so it doesn’t really do anything for me or spark an intense interest in it. I wouldn’t replay. Panorama is like really weird for me it’s like catchy but also not so I’m on the fence about it. It’s not bad by any means but I don’t know how I feel about it. A song passed, and I didn’t realize it….fuck. Hold on.Ok so listened to Island and forgot to pay attention to it again so it was forgettable. Sequence is ok too also pretty forgettable. O Sole Mio is probably the best so far to be honest it's nice and catchy. Also, a good instrumental. Slow Journey once again is meh.

This album is just meh for the most part, so like 3/10. I think my favorite is O Sole Mio & maybe Panorama. I didn’t like any of the other songs though so yeah.
