Posted on May 16, 2019

T/N: this is currently the #1 trending news on Daum

We will paraphrase:

A, a 33 years old man, found B, a grandmother. 76 years old, struggling to open the door to a bakery shop on the 16th around 1:50PM.
Watching from inside the store, he saw the grandmother struggling to enter the bakery shop and decided to help her open the door.
By assisting her to open the door, the grandmother who was still grabbing onto the handle lost her balance, and fell while hurting her head severely.
She was sent to the hospital and later passed away receiving severe brain damage.

The CCTV footage did show the grandmother trying to open the door.
A revealed to the police "I just wanted to help the grandmother while opening the door, but the situation ended up like that. I'm sorry"

The police charged the man with negligent manslaughter.

I never get these sentences that are given over accidents. Its not like the person is danger to society or they tried to do sth out of malice.

[Tir]

Damn...

[leesooman]

lol at all the international fans in the comments acting like sk is the only country with corruption.

Manslaughter is a weird crime, while i'm sure there are cases where it is needed like if a drunk driver or someone speeding accidentally kills someone but sentencing someone for opening a door is just bizarre.

I hope the womens family is okay though.

[RainbowDevil]

If anyone says this was deserved... they should just not...

[Poetry]

Poor guy.

That woman should not have been out and about alone. Her family should've been charged with negligence.
