skz already won kingdom and are very established, they def wouldn't be there (except maybe as hosts or mentors or wtv). rtk is for bgs without a music show win, and their winners get a spot in kingdom.

Not on the level they’re aiming for at all and basically guaranteed to win Also the whole point of Road to Kingdom is that they go on to Kingdom, hence the name “Road to Kingdom”. Why make any survival show at all? The belief is probably that the crossover exposure will give more attention to each group/idol, whether it works or not idk but if PR for Mnet and the groups thought that it was all terrible in every way would they have gotten the show to the point they did and gotten willing participants for every single one so far? I don’t think so

they actually do have. If their stages suck compared to the other group's stages in comparison. Their motivation as an artist is going down the drain tbh. And not even mention all the money the company has to burn in these, how the artists injure themselves doing these acrobatic stunts they wouldn't usually do. Imagine youre from a group that is close to renewing or leaving your company, and in your last year your company decides to put you on ANOTHER survival show, even tho you did two already. ALSO after you recently lost your leader not so long ago??? AKA IKON?????

Yet the management of the boys thought it was a benefit for them and I doubt they didn’t tell them the premise of the show. If it was so bad no one wants it then I don’t think anyone would have joined but they got 5 groups. Plus I’m sure they’d rather more work and pay than no work and no pay to reasonable levels

Actually it was offered to many groups, and some refused too. Also because mnet also has inkigayo and mama music show , it could be a card to push groups to join the show.

1. Your issue is with media as a whole here of all kinds, not mnet or survival shows. That’s what it seems like to me.
2. The company burns money here? I haven’t heard that before, I heard that they have a budget for each performance from the show. And they gain promotion in it.
3. The acrobatics I doubt is an mnet thing. I doubt mnet requires them to perform acrobatics. And they’re seen on non mnet shows and performances. Both within kpop and without.
4. The ikon thing is unrelated to mnet or the survival show as you pointed out. It’s about the company if anything. So I don’t see the point, if you want to say companies can suck with promotion then no duh.
