Ron grew up in a family of Gryffindors, his values match t heirs so while he could've been a Hufflepuff, he is in Gryffindor. To this day idk why snape was in Slytherin because he didn't have much ambition but he was driven by a twisted loyalty to Lily

Gryffindors follow what is right and wrong. all hermione's actions are because she is doing what she believes is right, so so strongly!! It might be morally wrong but if she believes she's in the right, she's going to do it

if we went 100% by canon, the houses should be summed up as main characters (Gryffindor), side characters (Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff) and villains (slytherin) Meaning that I wouldn't put anybody I like into Slytherin
