in regards to k-pop, i used to listen to a lot of bass-heavy edm songs, but now i like many new things, such as bossa nova inspired songs, jazzy songs, orchestral-sounding songs, r&b, and ballads :susPepe:innocent concepts with lots of strings are my go-to.

100% YES. I was always into EDM and Pop and some ballads, but Kpop made me like different genres (rap, hip hop, rock, etc) I wouldn’t have listened to even two years ago. There’s some Kpop songs i like now I would have screwed my nose up to before. Getting into Kpop opened My mind to other music genres and I’m glad for that :llama_ramen::pandahappy:

I have softened. I used to listen to a lot of brit pop, pop rock, grunge. A lot of Portishead, Radiohead, Nirvana, Placebo, Manic Street Preaches, Joy Division.... now I am more indie, sappy, guitar-like or even some experimental stuff like cyberpunk etc.

Its totally changed, i think with time. I hardly listen to alternative/indie western bands/artists anymore, even going bk a few yrs-i just lost connecting with 'em. Even newer artists i liked a few yrs ago i hvnt followed/kept up since 2017 or earlier. Kpop is totally different from wat i listened/liked b4. My likes in kpop seem to expand with every yr i keep up with the field since 2018. Idek wat type of music im liking now in kpop, i mean flavors or genres; edm or watnot-i just like wat my stan grps release mostly or not, as the case may be. Im open to new stuff tat my faves might try.

Just a little.

I've always liked pop/R&B, jazz and classical. The biggest change has been that rap no longer scares me. I can listen to both Western and Korean rap songs now.
