i genuinely had no idea these things happened until the internet i think my parents knew and some people knew about my gender before birth but only because it was mentioned in like choosing a name conversations and stuff and the others found out when i was born ig 😭
some people really do crazy things for gender reveal parties...
did you have one? did you attend one?​

Never been. It's a new craze with parents-to-be.
I think it's odd but i guess to each their own.


Some people go to crazy lengths to make their baby's gender reveal party excessive.
Like colorful poppers and fireworks that starts a fire in an already dry, forest fire prone area >.> it's happened

My cousins have done some.

One had a bunch of balloons shoved in an oven. When they opened the oven, the balloons poured out, being either pink for a girl or blue for a boy.

Another had a bunch of scones that had either pink or blue frosting. Everyone at the table would choose a scone with the color they thought the kid would be, with my cousin being the last to pick her scone, which had the correct color frosting.

When I see gender reveals, it's always through YouTube, but I think they're so cute, especially if it's her first time with the other gender! (like a girl after three boys or a boy after five girls) Parties I'm okay with as long as the couple doesn't drag it out too long. Like, I saw one video where they had a whole big party for the baby's gender, a half-hour-long video, only to leave us at a cliffhanger. That's a hard no from me!

I’ve been to them. A regular baby shower seems good enough, but whatev. It makes people happy and doesn’t hurt anyone so it’s fine.
