this is similar to a thread I posted last month about being gullied for your fandom, but also not. lol

and my answer is yes, absolutely. they used to disapprove of my 1D fandom bc, and I quote my mom when they were on the Today Show in 2013, "THEY'RE CHILDREN!" Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah, no. the only "child" in that group at the time was Harry, and he was technically a legal adult at 19. But one day, I told them simply that they make me happy, and they started to gradually get off my case about it until they eventually encouraged it.

No since they don't have a clue of how awful some fandoms I'm in can be. It's probably better if it stays that way
