I got stung by a colony of fire ants when I was six. I was playing on the driveway at my house in Georgia when I stumbled upon "a random pile of dirt". Excited bc I loved to get dirty, I started playing in it... only to realize it was actually a fire ant hill. Mom and Dad were chatting with our next-door neighbors, and they heard me screaming, but they didn't notice why at first bc I was usually a screamer whenever I played outside. lol Dad did finally notice soon enough for there not to be any permanent scarring afterwards, but oh, my God, was it scary!
